Oh for a little sanity in the world! When did everyone become so precious and "special"? A little belittling never hurt anyone, and generally does a great deal of good in pointing out people's inadequacies and enabling them Mend Their Ways and Do Better.
Can you imagine if we went whining to the press every time one of our Godly Pastors belittled and publicly shamed one (or all) of us? No you can't, and that is because we honor our elders and betters
Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the Lord. (Leviticus 19:32) and those of us who have been blessed with sons are raising them likewise.
All my children - especially my daughter - have been trained from birth in the quiet acceptance of correction (including belittling) from their betters, and I am pleased to say that not one of them has ever complained twice about it.
Any student or faculty member who whimpers feebly about perfectly justified criticism of their inadequacies is a Godless heathen and should be fired from Liberty University.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. (Titus 1:16)
