I welcome you to this forum even though I am not on the welcoming committee and I am not even a member of the forum because I am not Baptist but Rastafari. I myself come to commune with the white people here to try to gain overstanding of the ways of white people. They have been friendly and welcoming to me occasionally and I am certain they will embrace you as well if you do not make them angry.
One thing that is sure to anger these Baptists is rudeness including failing to introduce yourself. That is easy to do and if you do as they ask they may try to save you and so converse with you in a friendly manner. That has been my experience here.
