There is finger pointing going on about why the greatest President in our history did not get re elected. We can't blame the President, he did all the right things. There is an on going question about voter fraud. The outcome of that remains up in the air.
I think Sen. Rand Paul came to the best conclusion:
Too many people voted.
As the Senator points out, if huge voter turnouts continue we Republicans will have trouble holding on to the Presidency, Congress and ultimately the courts. We cannot allow this convenient voting and intense interest in voting continue.
One of the culprits was mail in voting. When it is that easy to vote lots of people vote. When lots of people vote, we Republicans lose.
Maybe other good Republicans here at Landover Baptists have ideas about how to solve this problem. I have a few ideas.
1.) Absolutely no-mail in votes.
2.) Fewer polling places, longer distances for voters to travel.
3.) Change polling places every year.
4.) Discuss various dates for the election.
Back in the day, white people in the South had this figured out. They had tests for black people, recite the Constitution, name all the states, etc. These were reasonable but people complained. Maybe we could work out something like what segregationists did back then.
