Prayer Is It Really A Bad Thing For One To Bow/fall Down And Worship God? - 04-29-2019, 02:55 PM

I've heard and observed how many people that claim to be worshippers of God from the church, mock the practice of bowing down and prostrating in worship of the same Person they claim to be their God, by those of a different faith.

And this makes me wonder if it's something wrong or an offence to such ones of today's church for someone put his head on the floor in worship to God.

For I could remember that even Jesus who they claim to be their Lord, despite being the only begotten Son of God was said to have fallen on His face before His Father and God, as it was said:

"And He went a little farther, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Mt 26:39(KJV).

I gave the instance of Jesus first because He is the only begotten Son of God and also being the Master, He is supposed to be the perfect example to those of the church, and whose ways they ought to emulate.

For there were several other examples in the bible in that respect concerning those who walked with God, such as Abraham, Moses, Daniel, David and so on before the coming of Jesus, but I do not want to allow any room for those of today's church who are guilty of such to use the era of the Law as an excuse for instances of such before the coming of Jesus.

For Jesus Himself with all His heavenly profile falling literally on His face before God, should itself suffice, and hence give those of His church no excuses not to do likewise, needless to say even have the audacity to mock those who are doing same, for it's hard mock others when you observe same.

And moreover apart from the instance of Jesus, there were other instances that showed that this was not just an activity meant for the flesh alone, but also for the spirits.

And by the spirits I don't just mean the Satan and his demons, but also the angels In heaven, as it was also said:

"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned." Rev 11:15-17(KJV)

"And all the angels stood roundabout the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen." Rev 7:11-12(KJV)

Therefore those who are fond of mocking people who put their faces on the floor in worship of God the Creator, should have a rethink of such an attitude because it's contrary to what's acceptable in heaven.

So if they truly desire to end up there, one way to prove that is to start following the example of the angels in heaven, so that the reason they aren't allowed into heaven at the end, would not be because, if they were allowed inside, instead of doing same, they would be mocking the angels and all the other saints who are falling on their faces in worship before the Lord God Almighty.

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
