Crisis in California! Lawns are dying! -
07-11-2015, 07:42 PM
I've read a tragic tale about how rich people have to endure brown lawns in California due to some so called drought. The rapture will probably occur before California runs out of water anyway, so I don't know why they're even bothering to conserve water. But if anyone needs to cut back, it's the do-nothing poor people.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/nation...9-3012c1cd8d1e
Quote:
Drought or no drought, Steve Yuhas resents the idea that it is somehow shameful to be a water hog. If you can pay for it, he argues, you should get your water.
People “should not be forced to live on property with brown lawns, golf on brown courses or apologize for wanting their gardens to be beautiful,” Yuhas fumed recently on social media. “We pay significant property taxes based on where we live,” he added in an interview. “And, no, we’re not all equal when it comes to water.”
|
Amen! More taxes paid should mean more rights! Rich people already get more speech through advertisements and by paying Mexicans to protest. They already get better legal representation in court by hiring better attorneys. Why shouldn't they get more water than everyone else too? That's how capitalism, God's favorite system of government works.
Quote:
Yuhas lives in the ultra-wealthy enclave of Rancho Santa Fe, a bucolic Southern California hamlet of ranches, gated communities and country clubs that guzzles five times more water per capita than the statewide average. In April, after Gov. Jerry Brown (D) called for a 25 percent reduction in water use, consumption in Rancho Santa Fe went up by 9 percent.
|
These people probably make hundreds of times what people in other areas make and yet they're only using 5 times the water. Sounds like they're being very conservative with their water usage to me. Unfortunately god hating, tax hike loving, Gov. Jerry "Moonshine" Brown didn't see it that way and tried to force his big government thuggery onto Rancho Santa Fe. Well, fortunately they wouldn't have any of it and increased their water usage by 9% .
Quote:
“It angers me because people aren’t looking at the overall picture,” Butler said. “What are we supposed to do, just have dirt around our house on four acres?”
|
Quote:
“I’m a conservative, so this is strange, but I defend Barbra Streisand’s right to have a green lawn,” said Yuhas, who splits his time between Rancho Santa Fe and Los Angeles. “When we bought, we didn’t plan on getting a place that looks like we’re living in an African savanna.”
|
I too, am very angry that Demon-rats are forcing hard working Americans to live around acres and acres of unkept filthy dirt . I can't imagine how they even fall asleep at night knowing that their lawn is in peril.
Quote:
Butler said she, too, is replacing grass with drought-friendly native landscaping on her four acres, at a cost of nearly $80,000. (She’ll get a rebate for about $12,000.) But she came to the decision grudgingly, she said. And she defends the amount of water she and her neighbors need for their vast estates.
“You could put 20 houses on my property, and they’d have families of at least four. In my house, there is only two of us,” Butler said. So “they’d be using a hell of a lot more water than we’re using.”
|
That's a pretty compelling argument. I'm sure if they had poor people hogging up space they'd waste the water on stupid stuff like cleaning dishes/laundry/drinking/going to the bathroom etc. By reserving all that space just for her family she is doing a vital service to the community. It's only fair that she be given extra water as a reward.
Quote:
Another friend, Woods said, has seen the value of his nine-acre plot plummet from $30 million to $22 million.
|
Tragedy! Millions of dollars lost.
Rich people also need to look for more creative ways to use water, like Republican Tom Selleck who took water from a local Fire Hydrant for his ranch for years ! It's this kind of creative thinking that demonstrates why these people are job creators to begin with.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/0...n_7754716.html
Can't you tell just by looking at this man that he must have a lot of integrity?
I think it's about time poor people stopped wasting so much water. If drinking out of the toilet is good enough for domesticated house pets I'm sure it's good enough for poor people. I doubt most poor people are taking many baths/showers so they're already fine in this regard. Also, why are we wasting water for fire hydrants in poor areas? I doubt their houses that are burning down are even worth the cost of the water it takes to put the fires out. The firemen should just let the houses burn if it's not in at least a moderately wealthy area.
Close minded people are just right people who don't want to spend time arguing.

With all the negroes, hippies and wetbacks in California who refuse to bathe, you'd think there'd be a surplus of water.

It sounds like government waste and over-regulation, as usual.
What CA needs to do is privatize water provision state-wide and let the invisible hand sort all this out. Mr. Selleck is clearly a premium level consumer and is already showing how the capitalist model can provide water even in the middle of a drought to those who drink more water than average. Those who choose to drink less can enroll in a pay-as-you-go plan or even opt out entirely.

Has California not privatized its water yet? I knew it was one of the backward states, but had no idea things were that bad. Even Godless England privatized its water provision (country-wide , though of course the place is only about a tenth of the size of California) some 25 years ago.
My view is that all True American water should be given to the rich, who pay more taxes. If the welfare-scrounging poor want water then let them ship it in from Mexico. Or what about sea-water? California is on the ocean, I think. Can't the poor use that?

The answer to these liberal sinners' problem seems easy enough to me.
~~ PRAY ~~
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Matthew 7:8; Luke 11:10
Jesus promises those who pray in faith will not only get an answer to their prayers, but the answer they request! None of this, "God answers prayer! It may be 'yes,' 'no,' or 'wait,'" business. That's what false Christians tell themselves when they find their prayers go unanswered. But Jesus does not lie (Psalm 119:160). If He tells us He will give True Christians™ what they ask for, then He will give True Christians™ what they ask for! In abundance!
All the Californians need to do is find one True Christian™ in their entire state to pray.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Brother Jim, don't the Austrians have a lot of glaciers? The run-off of water from those during long hot spells would surely be enough to supply the entire country.

Hello Joanna,
There are two Aussie countries, I believe you are confusing the two. The Aussie country Jim is referring to is the one with the dangerous wildlife. If you are going to visit those Aussies, please be careful!

WHOA, Tom got caught? I did not know this. When I worked for Nestle, I was the one who initially helped him set up that system. With all the knowledge/training I learned at Nestle and how to the drain the land dry of water - I must admit, I am a bit embarrassed it got discovered.
Tom, I am so sorry, I should have come back and inspected it and made repairs.
Well, I can sleep well at night knowing Nestle is still off the radar.

Privatizing water is a brilliant idea--we've been doing that for a while here in Freehold. We sell water to residents at retail prices. Since God has blessed all our residents with prosperity, all can buy water. We even put our intake valve upstream from Des Moines and all the suburbs so during drought we can draw all we want.
California could solve all its problems by simple offering the water it has to the highest bidder. Poor people would not go without, they would go to the Pacific Ocean and drink salt water.

It's too late for California. If Jesus wanted them to have water he would give it to them...
Ezekiel 36:25. "Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you."
I hope he dumps the whole lot in the Pacific.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
"But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery." (Matthew 5:32)

This makes complete sense. Giving more water to those who can afford it will create a trickle down effect onto those beneath them.

You are so correct, Dr. Toole. Let's take tour buses as an example. There is a big business where people pay to see the mega homes of Hollywood stars. These lawns need to be green.
Then I would ask, are there tour buses showing tourists the Watts slum area? There is no money is providing water to Watts. People use the streets as bathrooms anyway--every few months rain washes the streets.
The good thing is, a few of the Watts residents can get jobs washing the tours busses. These people can support the rest. It all works out.

Colored folks need to be able to cut grass if they are going to make it. Some days I let a colored man cut my grass even when it doesn't need it. It helps remind them how good they have it now that there is no racism in America, inspiring the sort of confidence they will need to make it as a basketball star someday, and live their dreams.
I think the fact that California is having a drought proves that it is a racist country.

This just doesn't make sense. California has always seemed to have enough water for their lawns, their farms, their car washes, their golf courses, and their swimming pools. When Californians Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan were representing California, there was plenty of water!!
What has changed in the past 30 years? Whenever the DEMONcrats take over, California suddenly has a water crisis, or rolling blackouts, or some other problem! I blame it on DEMONcrat mismanagement.

When we had a drought recently, our head gardener suggested a convenient practical solution. You know when you change the pool water, you can't use the it on the lawns because of the chemicals? Well, he suggested that we simply stop using pool chemicals.
This means you can use the old pool water on the garden. You need to change the water and scrub the pool more often - every other day works for us - so the lawns get a thorough soaking every 48 hours.
Of course, if it has rained then you just flush the water down the drains as usual.
The saving on the cost of chemicals is substantial, the pool is always sparkling clean and the idle, good-for-nothing poolboy gets something to do.
Could California adopt something similar?

I believe that events have made it abundantly clear that the Lord God is in the process of destroying California, which He hates with a fiery passion. Sometimes, the Lord sends great cataclysms to destroy His enemies and sometimes He takes a more orderly approach. We have seen fires, mud slides, drought and flood. Volcanos threaten and the sea seethes. He has sent Chinamen among them and Mexicans, too. Now, the water is cut off forever. Soon, those wretches will dry out and become statues, monuments to God's wrath. This orderly approach will leave valuable real estate for Christians to make use of when we repopulate the area.

The water crisis in California is a troubling issue that deeply concerns me.
Just last week, I attended a meeting with Sheik Abdullah-moola or something like that, from Saudi Arabia. Anyway, it was an important meeting, where we sign contracts for the upcoming year's oil supply. Considering the importance of this meeting, it's necessary to make a good first impression.
Since my people discovered that the Sheik is a golfing enthusiast, we thought we'd schedule the meeting at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego. It's a good location, close to the Mexican border, which is convenient since the Sheik also enjoys visiting nearby Tijuana (apparently he is a fan of donkey shows, probably because they remind him of camels). Anyway, you can imagine my shock and horror when I learned that Torrey Pines Golf Course was all brown and wilted due to the drought. Outrageous!
Fortunately, I got my lawyer right on it. He discovered that hospitals in San Diego have an emergency allocation of water for when it's needed. After making a few campaign contributions and reminding some members on the San Diego City Council about the secret tape we've got of them whooping it up at the Pretty Titty Strip Club in Las Vegas, the law got changed last Friday. It's just amazing what a congressman will do once you get a few drinks and cocaine into him, plus allow him to enjoy some quality time with a Mexirican hottie and a donkey.
Anyway, the new law stipulates that golf courses get priority over hospitals for emergency water supplies. I think that this is fair and reasonable. Hospitals are notorious for wasting water, so forcing them to conserve is a good thing.
Hospital wasting water
Well, to make a long story short, we got the hospital's water ration before they could waste it, and the Torrey Pines Golf Course was saved from extinction. This is a true environmental success story. Plus we signed that contract with the ragheads, giving us another year of cheap oil. So it's a win-win for the free market, and a death blow to Obamacare!
Praise Jesus!
