I have heard the phrase. But if I became a different person I would not be a good one. I am a openminded free thinker. Who believes in equal rights for all and that God loves all man. And forgives all sins if you take him into your heart and ask for forgiveness am I supposed to stop believing that?

Yes, because you are wrong. It's not just about claiming forgiveness, it is about REPENTING - SIN NO MORE! The Bible says NOWHERE to be an open-minded freethinker, in fact, it says the exact OPPOSITE!

Ok so you never ever sin? Hmmm do you realize everyone sins. Every impure thought or gesture is a sin. And impure thoughts are not only of a sexual nature But all impure thoughts about man. Like thinking of killing a man or thinking he deserves to be dead.

The Bible says every has SINNED, past tense. We are all born sinners, because an ancient ancestor of ours ate the wrong fruit.
However, the Bible also clearly says that when you become saved, you are filled with the grace of God, and can no longer sin. If you sin, it is a sign you are not a Christian. This is not by your own will, but by God's grace working in you. That's what the Bible says.
