The researchers found that, compared with workers never earning low wages, sustained low-wage earners experienced significantly faster memory decline in older age. They experienced approximately one excess year of cognitive aging per a 10-year period; in other words, the level of cognitive aging experienced over a 10-year period by sustained low-wage earners would be what those who never earned low wages experienced in 11 years.

Given this study, it stands to reason that the reverse would be true as well. Higher wages lead to increased cognitive function. That's why it is so good we live under capitalism and that such a large percentage of the wealth is concentrated among such a relatively small percentage of individuals.
These people losing their cognitive function were never using their brains to begin with. They didn't need brains to do their jobs. The wages (along with brainpower), should be reserved to those who need it most and are providing jobs to the rest of us.
Close minded people are just right people who don't want to spend time arguing.

Our goal here at LBC is to save America. We can save it by stopping sin in its tracks and helping the wealthy class stay healthy and wealthy. The witless can help by working harder for less money. It's not hard to understand.

If there were no wealthy people, how would anyone be employed?

I so look forward every year to Forbes list of the 400 wealthiest Americans. It is such a warm tribute to capitalism and an inspiration to young people.
Tempering that, however, is the reality some people who aspired to make the list did not. They live with a stress almost unimaginable. Even worse are those were on the list but found, to their dismay, others have pushed them off. It is this latter group we need to pray for this time of year.

Imagine being the four-hundred-and-first richest person. Although the figures involved are to some extent subjective, how much someone would be prepared to pay for your 10th century Chinese porcelain collection for instance, and although the objective is to develop a more efficient economy so that everyone benefits, The List's status does influence how one's philanthropic wealth accumulation project is perceived by others. That in turn has an impact on how much efficiency a billionaire can contribute to the economic pot. And the more internal efficiencies there are (quite apart from exports and international trade) the better off everyone else can be.
For #401 all those considerations must be very stressful.

I hope we don't forget the stress of the Super Rich during these times of dramatic change. Most assumed Trump would replace Biden and all would be well. Now what was a tight community of billionaires looking after each other has splintered. They should be supporting one of their own, Donald Trump, but some have now jumped to other non-billionaire politicians.
On the horizon are higher taxes. Profits for some are being squeezed by a shortage of workers and they are demanding more money. For example, the Tyson family reports less demand for pork and higher demands from their Hispanic labor force.
Pray for the Super Rich. We need them in good spirits taking care of us.

We know that Jesus recommended high-return investments. And clearly for the employer class, as many of His disciples were, capital projects need to be maintained; for example if their fleet was neglected it would soon sink and there'd be no employment for anyone in the fishing industry. Matthew 25:26-29 [Jesus speaking] His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
gold | silver |
---|
$3,305,454.91 | $39,450.12 | 1 talent | $6,610,907.73 | $78,928.52 | 2 talents | $16,527,272.49 | $197,321.34 | 5 talents |
The issue in this parable had been investments of five, two and one talents. The servant who'd been given 5 talents invested wisely and wound up with 10 talents approx. $33 million, if the investment was in gold. But more important here is Christ's description of the servant who at least didn't lose anything and returned what he'd been given safely. Slothful! Wicked!! Deservingly stripped bare!!! These amounts would be necessary to preserve one's capital position and continue providing employment.
Jesus is always so up-to-date and here we see that employment continued even when the master was absent. With excessive demands being made what better solution than for the employer class to reside offshore in what amounts to a floating city with full amenities and appropriate staff laid on? As Jesus points out, their absence doesn't restrict the activities of lower class persons who are still expected to produce solid returns. A decent vessel accommodates some 8,000 but allowing for larger suites and fewer residents, very comfortable living is assured. By staying outside arbitrary coastal limits where appropriate and putting ashore by launch in suitable cities or maintaining one's own helicopter (with the excellent passenger/crew ratio there'd be plenty of room for a few helicopters) the vicious commie agenda need never be encountered at all.
"Arbitrary" is not a nice word and together with His world view in this respect, not a word Jesus ever needed to use. This is one aspect of stress reduction for the super rich on whom so many depend our prayers could well address.

Re: Pray for Less Stress Among the Super Rich -

Events during this past summer reminded me again why we must pray for less stress among the wealthy and for better protection of their well-being.
One event was the collapse of a sight-seeing submarine. The submarine was taking its wealthy passengers on a look-see of the sunken Titanic. Someone should have stepped in to protect their safety. They all died. It was yet another case of the wealthy becoming victims.
Burning Man was another example. The annual Burning Man has changed from the original event. Originally it was a gathering in the desert of worthless hippies in Jesus school buses. Over the years, a curiosity developed among wealthy people who owned huge motor homes with electric generators and air conditioning. Large numbers of these luxurious land yachts began showing up and paying $1,000 to park. When the rains came this year the rigs got stuck and could not leave on schedule. As with the failed submarine discussed above, wealthy people became victims.
I hope our prayers will bring justice to the lives of wealthy people. They are getting a bad deal in so many ways.

I do thank you, dear Brother Mayor Hold, for posting such an important reminder. If there is anything that rich people do not need, it's the worry of having to pay frivolous taxes and such. We can take heart in knowing that our prayers are having a very positive effect, though. You will see the proof in the attached photograph.
