It's not just construction workers who get jobs from this. Factory workers who make the machines get jobs, employers need to hire managers and benefits admins. Tailors get jobs for making uniforms, and you just go on down the chain. My father works in construction, so I suppose I am a bit biased, however that doesn't make me a lier.

This is just more of the typical spend first nature of the Democrats. They seem to think that spending a bunch of money to employ people is somehow going to improve the economy and get people back to work. Preposterous! The economy is like the human body; when a part of it gets injured, after time it will heal. If we just sit back and stay off the economy for 10-15 years it will naturally fix itself.

The reason the economy is doing poorly is because people are unemployed. We people aren't working, they can't pay mortgages, or buy things. When people don't spend, companies lose money, and stocks go down.

I might also add, that President Bush is the one who got us into this mess.

That Obama has not only thrown us under the bus, he's stabbed us in the back, sold us down river, mortgaged our children's future, destroyed Liberty™, and ended Freedom®. It's sad that we've descended into socialism while forward-looking countries like China and Somalia are using free markets to expand their economy and create Freedom®. In the past 15 years alone, Somalia has created tens of thousands of new jobs in the private(er) sector.

Yeah, yeah, nobodies working. Yet my inlaws can't find anyone to pick their orchards because people on welfare think that picking fruit is below them. It's good pay if you work hard, but instead they have to ship mexicans all the way up to Canada because those are the only people willing to do the work. And the mexicans just take the money back to mexico with them, taking it out of the community.

Maybe if we cut off the welfare these people would be motivated to help the economy a little more. Why do you want all of our money exported to other countries? Are you trying to destroy the US?
