As a redhead, I have very pale and sensitive skin. It has therefor been my lifelong habit to have all my clothes, regardless of fiber, sewn with a silk lining.

Do I have to rip all these out now????

And what about buttons, snaps, zippers and trims? Do those have to be of the same fiber? I'm not sure how we can make buttons and snaps etc. out of linen for a linen dress, for example. I am willing to try, of course. Maybe we can soak and bake the linen to stiffen it in some way?

I have often wondered about buttons and zips. I have always assumed that fasteners were ok, since they are not woven into the garment fabric. As long as they sewn on with the same fiber. I have seen buttons which have a material covering, but I feel that is cheating since the rest of the button is made out of metal.

There is a certain ladies under garment that really requires a metal fastener to hold it in place. (I want mention the exact name).

I am not sure about your skin condition and the silk lining. I will check to see if there are any references for such cases. I have something similar with woollen skirts, they make me itchy so I were cotton ones instead.

Great news, Brother Benedict, Skippy is back!

He was outside my door when I went out to dump the trash. Poor little guy was all dirty, his loin cloth was missing, and had a suspicious looking smudge was on his collar.

There was a convoy of gypsies passing through the area and they spent a few nights just outside the trailer court in that city park next to us and I suspect they may had something to do with Skippy's disappearance.

I believe they might have tried to kidnap Skippy and press into some sort of degenerate breeding program involving their organ grinder's simian. I saw that monkey he had and, well, in my opinion, it was really ugly - certainly not a MILF (in this case the M is for monkey, if you get my drift) - but then my taste in monkeys is set at a pretty high bar.

But then, we are talking about Skippy, and maybe his bar isn't that high.

Glad to hear he has returned, and I do understand what you are saying about Skippy...Any ear in a storm for that simian I am afraid.

Helen says the meat should be especially tender, as it's been marinated for years. Or maybe she said "pickled". Something like that.

When working in Jamaica for Haliburton we would regularly order Drunk Chicken jerk but it is nothing like those 2 ladies prepare, the meat would fall off the bone, if you ever found a bone in the pie that is.

I will share this little story with Brother Benedict.

On one occasion I had to go to the city centre to do some shopping. When picking out my outfit I accidentally picked a woollen skirt. After a few hours in the skirt I started getting really itchy. I ended up scratching where I was itchy. It was so embarrassing as all the men kept on starring at me while I scratched myself. I ended up buying a cotton skirt to wear while I was out.

I was also wondering has this tailor have an excess stock of woollen Y-Fronts he cannot sell. Sometimes shopkeepers push things they cannot sell.

Buttons are considered decoration of clothing not part of the garb. Why are you here , to mock God?

No, there is no mention of any buttons in the Bible but the quoted scripture shows that there is no reason not to wear decorated clothing ie be it embroidery, buttoned or of color.
