From 1985 to 1995, Bill Watterson's God-mocking comic strip, Calvin & Hobbes, corrupted newspaper comics pages with crude humor about God and Jesus, adult sexual relations, and gaseous emissions.
Here's a prime example:
I thank God, and highly-motivated Christian conservatives of the mid-1990s, who "persuaded" Watterson to give up his continued assaults on the religious liberty of Americans, who should be able to open a newspaper without being insulted with suggestions that God is nothing but a big cock.
God is not in this photograph.
I'm sure you have also seen cases of Bill Watterson's attacks on God, Christianity, and human decency in general. Will you join me in thanking the Lord that this heinous travesty has been out of production for almost 17 years?
Imagine if the "New Atheistards" had been spouting off while Watterson was still working!
