Angels, don't be a silly woman. Of COURSE I want apple pie later. I don't look like I'm dying, do I?
Sorry for the interruption of this thread, Brothers and Sisters. I had to do my manly duty, and remind my fiance to do her chores.

Angels, I totally agree! I read her post below, and then I read Genesis 3. And it started coming together

Genesis 3
Quote:
1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Brother David, I do believe you went and hit the nail on the head. We're dealing with a temptress here. Reverend Jim may want to work on her. She looks like the type of harlot he'd love to save.

I agree, her lack of position is very tempting and exactly the kind of tactics Satan uses. Satan never says "do this", he says "I don't know, suite yourself". The "suit yourself" is were sin comes in because "yourself" doesn't know what is right, only Jesus can.

Ah, David. You lost me. Time will demonstrate, Mr. Goldman, that there's nothing to be nervous about. (Except maybe that Darth Vader guy. )
Do you need one of those deep tissue massages too? You're as tense as the Pastor Z. Trying to think things through when you're stressed is like herding rabbits. I'm telling you, by the time he gets down to your lumbar regions, all that tension is nothing but a fading memory.

A temptress? Gads. What exactly is it that you're tempted to do??
I have a plate of pasta, a wonderful mousse recipe, some kindness, and lots of literature and analysis to discuss by a warm campfire after the evening chill sets in. Nothing to fear there, gentlemen.

Goodness. Isabella, as good as you look and sound, it's obvious to me that there is a lot more "there" there than meets the eye. Normally I like my women with some spunk and a brain (one of my monor sins for which I ask forgiveness daily). But your "Li'l ol' me" act won't wash around here. I've warned the girls off of having anything more to do with you. They mustn't be tempted.

Looks like this would be harlot is in need of a prayer circle before she is lost completely to Satan. I'm sure we can get 15 or so of our brothers in Christ to come out and help this poor soul. She desperately needs to be filled with the love of Jesus.

Count me in, Brother Remy. We should start ministering to her one at a time, giving her every inch of faith and testimony we got. Then we can all pounce on her at once as she has to deal with rebuking and prayer coming into her from all directions. At the climax of this Saving Session®, we will drench her with baptismal water and she will close her eyes and tilt her head back in ecstacy after having received the Lord and we will see the Holy Spirit come all over her face.
This woman desperately needs to be Saved®.

That's where they're wrong. There's not a lot to consider: God is right, Satan (and his tools, such as Muslims, Catholics, and uppity women) are wrong. What's there to consider about that?

God doesn't command us to harass "lots and lots" of unbelievers, he demands that we harass ALL of them. Remember 1 Samuel 15? God told Saul to kill all the Amalekites and all their animals, and then when he massacred the Amalekites but failed to kill all their sheep and oxen, God was enraged and cursed Saul, saying he was as bad as a witch, and that's pretty bad. You see now why these subversive agnostics are so dangerous. If your kitchen was full of a herd of vicious wild pigs, and I chased "lots and lots" of them out of the kitchen, but left a few to run around and attack you, would you be happy? Well, that's agnosticism in a nutshell.

Read this. Leviticus 10:1-6 tells us how Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu worshipped in the way that felt most natural to them, so God killed them with fire, and then told Aaron that he wasn't allowed to be upset about his sons being dead. Numbers 16 tells the story of how Korah worshipped God the way that felt most natural to him, so God killed him and 250 of his friends.

There is everything to fear there! Literature and analysis? What kind of devilish nonsense is that? I don't know what devilry you have planned, whether it involves reading Kafka's shorter works as bedtime stories at the end of an evening of unspeakable depravities or discussing de Beauvoir's stunning ability to capture the essential emptiness and despair of an unsaved soul. But whether it involves lengthy conversations about the vile blasphemies to be found in Chekov's work or having one's eyes scorched by a fresh-faced young deviant like Joey Comeau, there is nothing good - but plenty of evil - that can come of literary analysis. Why, start down that route and you'll end up reading monsters like John Kennedy Toole, and then where would you be?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

But, Confederacy -- ah, never mind.
Ye Gads. Gentlemen. Can we set aside these, ah, assumptions and proposed solutions just long enough to discuss our differences over some pizza (with steak, sweet sausage and onions) and sangria? You'll have a chance to see for yourselves that neither books nor I pose any threat, and Joey Comeau needn't even come up in conversation.

Are you opposed to being infused with the Holy Spirit? We only want to help you and the prayer circle is your best bet. Never doubt the power of prayer.
