Well, Brother Bobby-Joe, I'm not surprised at the horrible experience since the accommodations weren't that inexpensive. Going
cheap on a modest budget often entails some sacrifices.
My last trip to Sacramento was for an ABA convention. The California Bar Association didn't want us to suffer so the put us up in an upscale Best Western that approached $200 per night and the accommodations were quite nice. Upon returning to Freehold I sent them a thank you note.
Now that I think of it, maybe it was the free bar and the complimentary "housekeeper" they installed in my room. It's such a blur.
