Ernest Callenbach, hippie scum and author of the green moment trash novel,
Ecotopia was called to face Jesus for his life time of nature worship. God's wrath manifested itself in the tree huggers body in the forum of cancer, Christ favorite form of sinner execution.

There isn't enough scorn that can be heaped on the novel Ecotopia. The plot is California, Oregon and Washington succeed from the United States during an economic crises caused by an oil shortage in the late '70s and reform their society using renewable energy. This is complete and utter rubbish since there is unlimited oil that is constantly being renewed as foretold in the Bible (give me a bit to find the scripture, I am sure it is there)
Twenty five years after this the main character is sent by the United States government to find out what happened. This is the second major fallacy of the book. Obvious any kind of hippie government is going to be repressive beyond belief and in need of liberation. I suppose it is the kind of farce that happened before the Second Gulf War were arms inspectors were sent in to find the Saddam's Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Anyway the main character finds a society based on mass transient and sustainable energy. food is grown local with no factory farms, everyone gets a free education and health care, Blah, blah who cares? blah. Worse yet the government is highly decentralized with the ignorant unwashed masses deciding what is right. Were did Callenbach get such a stupid idea?
Obvious such an nation described in the novel would be invaded and destroyed by it's neighbors if ever existed in real life and rightfully so. Any country were any ignorant citizen can go to town council meeting and get his voice heard is just a mockery of the very ideas of democracy and little more than socialism.
Callenbach spat in Jesus eye and Jesus has returned the favor. One can hope that Callenbach repented of his wicked ways before death but it's unlikely. Most likely Callenbach is burning in hell for his stupid book. It wasn't worth it.
