Christian dad new here -
05-28-2019, 01:08 AM
Hi all, I am a christian dad, new here. I am a single dad to twins, a boy and a girl 15, then I have a 14 year old boy, and a 12 and 11 year old boy. I am doing my best to raise them in a christian way all alone since my wife died of cancer about 8 years ago.
My favorite Bible verse is 1 John 1:9

Welcome! Do you use the rod of discipline on your children as required by Proverbs 13:24?

Welcome! That's a great verse that you chose! What church do you attend and how did you find Jesus?
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Deuteronomy 6.5

I imagine a single dad, being a man, offers the strength of two moms (without encroaching in lesbo territory) in the parenting department. I can attest, kids can be a handful for just one! Just you might be swinging by the Rockford area in the coming weeks?

Since you're still labelled as Unsaved Trash, you can only post in this forum. If you prove that you aren't an unsaved heathen and get upgraded to a forum member, you'll be able to post in all of the forums. However, I would advise that you stay out of the women's forum so you won't be disturbed by female babbling.

Dear person,
You question is clearly answered in the KJV Bible!
1 PETER 5:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Now, why have you not married again? Don't you think that the needs of Jesus (for you to beget more soldiers for him) would not surpass the unpleasantries of marital duties?
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

Hello Mr. christiandad. It's so nice to see you come visit our friendly forums! I see you have learned that you are more than welcome to post in any thread at any time, however you will not be able to start any new threads in any subforum with the exception of the Introduction subforum. Which you just did. So well done!
I'm sorry you made such a poor choice in wives that the LORD decided to take her. I trust you used her unhappy circumstance to teach your children the importance of following Jesus.
Anyway, welcome!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! Hello, and welcome to the forum. John's epistles are always encouraging, as is his writing in The Gospels telling us about all the wonderful things Jesus did while he was here with us. Soon He will be returning.
It is always sad when someone declines His love, refusing to acknowledge their transgressions and be cleansed from unrighteousness. It's because He loves us that He allows us to make those decisions for ourselves.
There are consequences however.
I'm sure that as a parent you'd know all about children being perhaps less than frank and forthright when asked about their day. Your daughter may well have drawn a nice picture of a quince and you'd take her word for that but did she mention puffing on a cigarette in contravention of Titus 3:1?
Again, your youngest. Sure, he can climb trees (unless you'd told him not to) and maybe even flick acorns as a prank. You'd hear the din, depending of roof type but let's say it was a shed of some sort, and probably recall similar pranks when you were his age. There'd be no reason for him to deny that but now imagine that he'd seen something from his vantage point that you'd told him not to look at? Something he'd neglected to mention when you were laughing over the acorn prank?
God is our Heavenly Father. He knows when confessions fall short. Then, when sought in mortal peril for deliverance He's assured us He can give John 14:13-14, the residue of that attempted deception cannot co-exist with His perfection and calamity strikes. There was nothing to repulse it.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
For a parent this is easy to understand. If your daughter was drowning and held out her hand for help she knew you could give, you already know that because of her choice to deceive you over the cigarette you could not save her. That would be rewarding deceit. Similarly, your youngest son. He could be walking along and stumble into a campfire. "Help! Ow! Ow! Ow! Help me!" he would cry. And although you'd like to pull him out (which you could do in a split second) you know what he'd seen up that tree. He chose not to tell you. In just the same way when people choose to omit details from their confession to God they are choosing to reject His help when in mortal peril. We know what His commandments are. Christians keep those commandments and are saved while others retain unrighteousness and fry. I don't know why anyone would choose that. But as a parent I know you appreciate the parallel and which path to direct your children along.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, but I am likely not going to return to the site after this post. I only signed up to post in the "Focus on family" section, about a few problems that I am having with my children and to get helpful advice from other parents about the situations. Since I cant post in that section I really dont have any reason to be here. I will look in other sites that I can get advice from. I really dont care to read other peoples posts and think out replies, thats too much work and not what I signed up for. God bless you all.

Typical, too lazy to wipe his own mess up.
No wonder God killed his wife. She probably was thirsty and he was too lazy to get her a glass of water.
No one ever said being a Christian was easy. It takes hard work and immense scarifice. Why I've lost at least three wives and counteless children yet I continue to do what He wants.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I think he has some problems understanding the rules of the forum. It's understandable, most Christian have problems understanding the rules of God, and most people around the world have problems understanding international law (which is very simple: Donald says, you do)
To Christian dad: You can use this thread to introduce yourself. Then you can post on whatever you like to post here, as long as you comply the rules of the forum.
Or you can look for a similar thread, and ask your questions in that thread. It is not necessary to create a new thread, unless you think your problem is unique, which would be very rare in a 10+ year old forum, with thousands and thousands of Christians in here.
If you still don't understand this, let me clarify that posting in someone else's thread does not mean you have to answer the OP, you can add your questions there.
If you keep clueless, then let me know and I will send you a simplified draw about how this forum works. It is foolproof.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

He did not seem to realize whatever issue he wanted advice on could have been raised right here in the introduction forum. I would guess his big question is, "Why is God punishing me?"
We have a deep bench of people who could help him. If he would have revealed more of his life we could have pointed out his sin and left him a better person.
I hope Christian dad can find the path to becoming a True Christian.

I hope our new friend will stick around here and get to know all the manly brothers who stand willing to help in every way possible. Our journey to Heaven is a joint venture and I cannot imagine it without my fellow men.

Dear ChristianDad: to -- . We are pleased that you have found your way here, and we look forward to getting to know you in fellowship. I am sorry to read that your wife has passed away, and I understand what a challenge it must be to you to raise the children on your own. I also note that you seem a bit frustrated with the way our system works here. As others have noted, you can post your new messages in this forum, and we will do our best to answer you promptly. I think you will find that our replies will be quick and full of the information that you need so much. Until then, I wish you the best, and I thank you for reaching out to . May God richly bless you, Dear.
Sincerely,

A christian father who doesn’t have the answers to deal with his kids? I’m shocked to say the least. Why don’t you ask here? My Pa always has the answers to questions I have alongside the appropriate Bible verses. To make demands as an unsaved trash makes me question your faith in the people here btw.
My name is Maxine Levantine. I am 17 and follow the KJV Bible to a T. If you are wanting to hit on me you can turn away. THIS is reserved for Jesus and my future husband (whoever that may be).

I should have known better than to have jumped the gun and offered myself to UnSaved Trash. I take for granted often not all of us graduate to become Forum Members by merit of seeming Christian.
It's not the first time I had issues with being ghosted.
