Where is Mr. Cummings? -
05-25-2020, 12:01 AM
It's been a long time since I paid attention to the British commie-infected news but out of boredom today I watched the Channel 4 News. Yes Britain has 4 TV channels.
The question on everyone's lips is where a certain "Mr. Cummings" might have been during lockdown. Not who, where. It was hard for me to understand through their thick cockney accents but I gather the Brits have invented a new game called "Where's Mr. Cummings?" to pass the time.
The exact rules escape me but it involves TV reporters going around harrassing random people and asking where Mr. Cummings is or was. I gather the President Boris Johnson is playing this game quite often. Very popular.

It's called Cummings and Goings.
My children invented a variation yesterday. They drew a huge map of the British highway system, marking all four roads, and played a version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey which they called Pin Dom on the M1. Extra points were awarded for landing him on a motorway services area. It seemed pretty boring to me, but at least it kept them out of my hair and the map-drawing exercise covered both Art and Geography.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it referred to Senator Elijah Cummings. Where is he? In 2019 he boarded the Hell Train.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

The more I learn the stranger it gets.
Mr. Cummings is a senior advisor to the President and not a negro, thank you Mr. Hold. He's not even a family member or former TV presenter. A strange country, the UK.
The weirdest thing is why Mr. Cummings drove 260 miles when there are perfectly serviceable Royal Air Force jets that could have whisked him and his delightful British wife there in 20 minutes, leaving more time in Barnard for trying on Armani outfits.
Fake news alert For goodness' sake don't google Cummings wife. Only trust what you read here or get told by the Pastors.

Mr Cummings is currently, as I write, in the garden of No. 10 Downing Street giving a press conference entirely devoted to the subject of his travels. This is being live-streamed on BBC television.
Dr Toole, I don't think Dom and his lovely wife Mary are really Armani sort of people.

This "controversy" is just more fake news. Dominic (NOT a name I would ever give to a child) was fortunate to have family holdings in the north of england where he could drive a few hundred miles and stay without any interaction with his elderly parents. A "cottage on the estate" is how this is termed by some. Formerly occupied by the gamekeeper or the mad uncle.
The general outrage by hoi polloi is mere jealousy about belonging to the commoner class, rather than landed gentry.
Phil
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring k upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

I'm sure he has perfectly good reasons involving sacrifice and challenge against the odds despite horrific bone spur injuries.
He and his wife could think about dressing a bit nicer. Look at what an Armani suit can do for the, ah, visually challenged.

Mr. Cummings is completely vindicated, as we suspected. (And visually challenged.)
Quote:
Cummings says he drove to Barnard Castle to test his eyesight
He said he decided to return to work on 12 April, 15 days after developing symptoms. However, his eyesight had been affected by his illness and so he went for a short drive to see if he could drive safely – to the town, Barnard Castle.
|
When I go to the optician's, the first thing the doctor does is put me behind the wheel of an automobile and send me on a short drive of 60-70 miles. Once I get back, he checks carefully for dents and scrapes and, if these are only minor, I get a pass.

For those of you who have never visited Barnard Castle, I should clarify that in Britain, it is the obvious place to go to check one's eyesight.

Seriously, it's a problem when working with talented people, they're just better than you. It's an affliction, a cross to bear. How do imagine Jesus felt when his disciples would accidentally through sheer incompetence almost wreck His Mission for umpteenth time that day? The real miracle is that Jesus didn't get both his hands nailed to a regular piece of wood in a construction mishap.
So, really, from that perspective, the heroic actions of Mr. Cummings in single-handedly explaining to us while seated in the rose garden of the seat of power why he didn't follow the orders some unelected government bureaucrat SEIG HEIL! is actually a major feather in his cap.

In the golden days of Christianity (before there were atheists) we sent lepers to live in colonies far away from the rest of us. Places like Durham and Barnard Castle.
The entire North of England could in fact serve London as a dumping ground for their sick and worthless human garbage. Just send them up there. Nobody has leprosy any more do they.

I don't know, Brother Dr. Toole, Sir. But I do know that it was invented by a Nowegian called Hansen. So if we're sending them north, we may as well do it properly and send them to Norway to dwell among the Godless Sami.

I don't know - Norway, Northern England - is there really such a difference? Once you leave Zone 3, doesn't it all become a frozen wasteland? As for Dr. Hansen, I have been taking his COGNITION supplements but was not aware of his work in leprosy.

I'm hearing murmurs over the interwebs of another long trip.
Quote:
Dominic Cummings' relationship with Boris Johnson 'fell off cliff', says ex-minister
The former Brexit secretary David Davis said Cummings’ “relationship with the prime minister fell off a cliff”
...
And a senior Tory backbencher who supported Cummings over his coronavirus lockdown breaches said on Saturday he had been wrong to do so.
Crispin Blunt said he should not have supported Cummings after his controversial trips to Durham and Barnard Castle at the height of England’s first lockdown
...
Asked if he had been right to back the adviser, Blunt said: “With the benefit of hindsight, no. However, you’ve got to make a call about what is seen to be fair and proper in the circumstances, and Boris made a call on that.”
|
Quick re-cap of events: one agreed with what the other one said then changed his mind when the other one changed his. So you see, both Crispin Blunt and the honorable President Johnson made the correct moral judgement and ought to be rewarded for their brave and far-sighted leadership.

Poor Mr Cummings was made to do the Walk of Shame with the cardboard box so familiar to fired bankers.
There has been considerable debate in Britain as to what the box contained: the consensus seems to be that it was empty.

The staff should double check the silverware, just to be sure.

Oh, the decent silverware is long gone. Only the cheap Chinese knock-off "plate" remains. The only stuff worth taking would fit on a USB stick - and they'd never have found that without the sort of search that absolutely nobody would be prepared to carry out.
