Advice please? -
12-11-2011, 10:35 PM
So, as you might know, I am attending high school. On Friday, after class, a boy named Hugh asked me to "grab some coffee" with him.
Outwardly, he seems like a good Christian boy, he attends church, his parents are friends with my parents. He is in debate club and Allies, the Christian club.
However, I have seen him with several girls several times, including with my friend Ashley. When I asked what she was doing with him, she just laughed and said, "Hugh and I are, um, just, friends, you know?" After a few days, Ashley didn't mention Hugh again and seemed very depressed.
Should I accept his offer? What do you think happened with Ashley and Hugh? I'm a bit confused. I mean, whenever he comes over with his family, my parents say he's a good boy.
Just a Christian Girl.

What does your father say about all this? Has he arranged a proper chaperone for you to meet this boy outside of the home?

I'm not following. Was this boy in your home? Why? Does your mother home school other people's children?

I really don't understand why you are in any way meeting boys or thinking of meeting boys without your father having arranged it.

High school is too young to be getting involved with guys. Believe me, I can tell you stories of girls I know who started getting involved with guys in high school- it never works out. Focus on Jesus, and don't let the distraction of this dude get in the way.
Blessings!

She should be with her father as he arranges for her to marry a good True Christian boy. She certainly shouldn't be getting into the habit of listening to other females and their feelings and emotions. You seem to be trying to use your own opinion teach...
Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
I think we can see where that leads.

I understand. I was just trying to discourage the idea, nothing more. Sorry if I seem uppity, I'm not sensible is all. I don't mean to try to speak from opinion.
