I've progressed past boot camp, now having them receive better guidance through a Guantanamo Bay inspired month long camp quarterly. I've found it keeps the staff perfectly in line, and can't wait for a new wife to lovingly subject this perfected system to.

Apparently she didn't consent. Also, in the hypothetical situation that she had gone to the police then that would have meant, by your logic, that assault and abuse would have happened.

And concerning your problem with my comparison with human sacrifice, it was being argued that this should be allowed because it was an expression of the Christian faith therefore I showed a parallel with something else which could be considered religious expression but is still illegal. If you want a different comparison then lets say someone believes clothing is morally wrong. Public nudity is still illegal.

Why exactly would I want him to kill his wife? Also this story is quite different from the one we are witness to.

Ananias and Sapphira were trying to claim credit which was not rightfully theirs and were therefore attempting to deceive the Holy Spirit.

This man told his wife that they were making radical changes in their life with little or no real justification for it, including the massive financial sacrifice of selling her company, and when she questioned him he resorted to violence and lost control of himself.

It smells (to me) like a Strawman argument, in that you're misrepresenting your opponent's position in order to have an easier target to argue against, combined with a slippery slope argument (if they argue that A is true, then they have to agree that something much more extreme than A is true), and the ever-so-wonderful moral high ground fallacy. But those kinds of analyses are much more Mr. White's specialty, so maybe he'll be along to enlighten us.

When you follow the commands of the LORD, you walk the Walk of the Righteousness (Proverbs 8:19-20), you can recognize spiritual theft and hidden deception for wisdom will be yours (Proverbs 9:10). McManus was called on by God to put his money where his mouth is, as they say, and apply his faith in a practical manner. That is to say, he was called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, or hands and fists in this case.

Okay, I think I can start to see where you got this from except you seem to have completely misunderstood what I wrote. Christ loved the church by dying for her and offering her eternal life, not by suddenly losing his cool and then saying that God made him do it on the internet.
