I am often asked where good destinations are for travel. It must have to do with my history with the Merchant Marines. I've been to a few nice places, but most of them are not places to which I'd want to return.
I'd like to say a couple of nice things about Grenada. The scenery is beautiful, and the beaches are clean and pristine. The people are kind and welcoming. They are God-fearing people with a good sense of morals.

Grenada enforcing ban on off-beach bathing suits
Jan 10,
ST. GEORGE'S, Grenada (AP) - Bikini- and Speedo-clad tourists beware.
The Caribbean island of Grenada says it recently began enforcing an indecent exposure law banning bathing suits away from the beach, as well as saggy pants that reveal the underwear.
Police commissioner James Clarkson says violators are usually just ordered to cover up. But the law allows for a $270 fine or six months in jail. At least a few locals are contesting fines.
Clarkson said Friday that cruise ships usually inform passengers of proper non-beach attire, but "from time to time, there is the one or two who take their chances." He said a few months ago police ordered several tourists wearing swimwear at a fort to return to their cruise ship and put on some clothes.

Grenada is a place where families can vacation and be comfortable knowing that proper dress will be encouraged, and that their children will not be assaulted with excessive cleavage in inappropriate places.
