Default Moral dilemma. - 11-27-2007, 03:30 PM

The Bible teaches for us, as Christians, to "love thy neighbor".

However, what if our neighbor is a Jew or Mormon?

I seek guidance from the most revered of this Church.

Why don't you try reading a little before posting?

O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Brother, you seem to frequent my posts.

I will admit that I am new to your ways, but I merely request that I be treated with the dignity of any fellow Christian.

After all, did Jesus and God themselves not say "Listen to those who are knew: they can bring the wisdom of the old"? (Ezekiel 49:3)

No. Ezekiel only has 48 books, you sinful imbecile.

The short answer friend is no TRUE Christian would have a Muslim, Jew or Democrat as a neighbor. Why do you think Freehold is a gated community?

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Jesus tells us who our neighbors are. Read the story about the good Samaritan and you know. Sorry, but here you must admit that I'm right.

Do you mean this verse?

Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

When Jesus said don't go with the Gentiles?

You seem to think that neighbor is just a person who lives near you. That is not the case.

The correct biblical definition of neighbour is

Anyone who did not follow him, would not be a neighbour (regardless of proximity) and therefore, is not under the commandment of "love thy neighbour as thyself".

Note, the law is not "love everyone as thyself"; it's specifically states NEIGHBOUR.

Nah, I'm talking about the story Jesus tells about the man who was robbed and wounded and left by the road naked. Then the good Samaritan came across him, tended to his wounds and showed him his hospitality. The man could've been anyone. And Jesus uses this story to answer the question "Who is my neighbour?"

Ei näin.
Prayers for you all.

The neighbour was the person who showed compassion.

The others weren't his neighbour. (according to the story). This opened neighbour-osity to like-minded people and not to just people of the same race.

So, you see, the neighbour is exactly like the definition I gave, a like minded person, not necessarily one who lives nearby.

Was that His answer friend?

In other words the man who behaves as my neighbor is my neighbor. I see nothing about us considering people who do not show us mercy and behave like Christians as our neighbors; for instance the Priest and Levite in the story. So clearly "everyone" is not our neighbor.

Yes, but there are many who tolerate you, while you do not tolerate them. People who come to this thread and say they wish to coexist and have nothing against you, yet you just mock them and ban them and call them satanists. Didn't Jesus tell us to do to other thing we want them to do to us? Shouldn't you be praying for my soul as well? And how was the good Samaritan "like-minded" with the robbed man? I didn't understand that.

Ei näin.
Prayers to you all.

Prayers to you all.
Friend, you read a whole lot into a story that never really happened.

It was a parable. Not an event that actually happened. Jesus made up the story to show a point. The point was, that the neighbour was the person who helped, not the people who didn't.

You will note that we have many neighbours on this forums. Heck, there are even "african american" True Christians™.

Friend, until you prove that you are not of Satan, we must treat you as though you are.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

People may come here acting nicely, but then they are rebuked once and turn into hatefilled wolves.

Wise people accept being admonished and use it as an opportunity to grow.

Proverbs 9:8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

As to being nice to people. Friend, by having open forums we are going above and beyond what Jesus said to do.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

We don't suffer a long time with infidels. They normally leave after one or two posts.

Will you be staying a long time?

You should tolerate. Jesus told us to pray for our enemies, to tolerate even evil itself! Matthew 5:39 tells us not to oppose evil, but to turn the other cheek. Yet you insult, mock and ban everyone who doesn't suit your tastes. "There are even 'african american' people here"? So what? There should be all types of people here, and to them all you should say that you pray for them!

Prayers to you all.

My Bible (KJV1611) doesn't contain the word "tolerate".

Jesus didn't say for us to be pussies.

In fact when He comes back, he's not gonna be a peaceful kinda guy. He's gonna come back and start killing people.

Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Is this the Jesus you worship, or do you follow a meek, humble, quiet little man who runs around throwing flowers where he goes, hanging out with hippies, and probably looks like John Lennon?

Friend, I don't insult anyone. Are you familiar with 2 Timothy 4?

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

I've talked at length on this verse before. What seems like an insult is a rebuke. Telling a fag that he's going to hell for his homersexual deathstyle, is an exhort. Hitting someone upside the head with the Bible (KJV1611) or just smacking them with a verse could save them from hell. Telling people it's ok to sin, and that God forgives, well, that just isn't always true.

Think back to Eli's sons. For what they did, God didn't forgive them. Would you allow people to burn in hell, or do you think possibly a word that could be perceived as angry, can save them?

Celtic is fearful, unbelieving, a liar, a whoremonger, and abominable. Has a place in the Lake of Fire secured.

Well, in my not-so humble opinion, you should treat them with respect. If you don't like them, keep it to yourself, and whatever you do, do not try and convert them. Most annoying thing anyone does.

That's nice. Are we all to tear God's word into little pieces and feed those little pieces to hogs and allow those hogs to be eaten by Muslims and start following the Commandments of Celtic instead now?
