[Lady Eveline]

I am Lady Eveline and I came across this little community through a link my sister sent to me. I do not believe she has an account as I have yet to see anyone bearing her name or likeness (though it would not be a surprise if she has gone by a different name for anonymity's sake.)

I was instantly intrigued by this forum. Posts containing such passion for the subject matter, even if some are filled with false information (why would someone worship spaghetti?) My interest is certainly piqued, to say the least.

I suppose a proper introduction beyond simply stating my name is obligatory, especially if I do decide to stay in the long term.

Firstly, I have a brother named Edward and a sister (whom was previously mentioned) named Elizabeth. Both of our parents are deceased.

I am married to a man named Benedict, though due to his age and current medical condition (from a freak accident involving the fireplace), I fear I may be a widow in the not-too-distant future. I have a daughter who will turn 3 years old in October. While he does have a son, Theodore, from his late 1st wife, he has repeatedly stated that he must have another son. I think this is due to some very unpleasant rumors surrounding Theodore since he left for university. Regardless, we have been unsuccessful in that endeavor.

As for my favorite verse, I've always been fond of Ruth 3:10-11, but Proverbs 31:10-29 is always a classic to read, especially when I was a newlywed.

As for the church aspect, the Baptist church near our main home had to close (some sort of unpleasantness regarding the pastor of the church being a suspect in the disappearance of some local boys, I do not know the details), so that has left us with a rather sad choice between Catholic, Anglican, and Methodist. We've chosen the latter so we wouldn't have to deal with any of that "priest" nonsense, however most Sundays we stay home and I read Bible verses aloud to Benedict (due to him being mostly blind.)

There is a good Baptist church near our vacation home, but that house currently under renovation and won't be completed until late summer. Benedict refuses to buy a temporary house in the area in the meantime. At least I believe that was his answer. His incoherent ramblings can be difficult to understand.

I believe that has satisfied the introduction requirements listed. I'm afraid I must end here, I can hear Benedict grumbling about something, likely related either a pillow or portrait or what have you.

It has been a difficult life, though I am grateful after seeing some of the unwashed beggars on the sidewalks on the occasion I go into town, since I know my life would be far worse had it not been for constant prayers and studying the Bible.

I'm sure Benedict would love this forum...if he was able to read the screen or type on a keyboard, that is. I suppose being wheelchair-bound with very limited sight and dexterity has some disadvantages. But, he seems to make the most of it.

Now I'm somewhat annoyed by your accusation - that is not false information. However, I don't understand why anyone would worship spaghetti, either, just like I don't understand why anyone would chose to be an Allah worshiper.

Apologies for the confusion, I was referring to posts from someone claiming to worship some demon that takes the form of pasta. I believe he claimed to also be a pirate, which was very confusing.

Hello – and thanks for posting an introduction. Others who join have not done so which would be impolite but without the spirit of grace what else can you expect? Ruth was gracious in her actions and found mercy where other family members did not, indeed they seem to have dropped dead in chapter one Ruth 1:5 perhaps due to an affliction similar to what you mentioned concerning your stepson.

Proverbs is always encouraging, especially where romance is concerned, reflected in your concern for your own family. There really are people who say, in a pirate accent, how they adore spaghetti and ridiculous hats. Do Methodists wear them? Here though, such frippery has no place; just a simple statement of faith is heard by God and there's no need for colanders, incense, muttering, waving the hands around AND CERTAINLY NO PRIESTS.
