The TV reality star, Lori Loughlin, has been sentenced to two months for paying Southern Cal big bucks to get her daughters in there. They were admitted as athletes even though they couldn't hit a basketball with a baseball bat.
Why should anyone go to prison for an ordinary business deal? The principle of capitalism is that of a willing seller and willing buyer. The University had something to sell and the rich mom wanted to buy it.
It reminds me of the injustice surrounding President Trump's University. People paid to learn how to become billionaires. The first lesson was "buyer beware." All the students became better business managers for being disappointed in what they received from Trump's University.
