Allow me to humbly and profusely apologize for my coming late to the party. In my defense I can only say that this thread was not active previously.

As you have so eloquently pointed out to skaterfog, visitors should keep in mind that this forum is devoted to True Christians™ who want to share their love and worship of our beloved Jesus. Yet I think we do have an obligation to instill knowledge to those who are ignorant. But for the life of me, I can't understand why people are too lazy to pick up a Bible and read it to find answers.

I have read your precious KJB several times.

It does not once refer to the United States of America (Which did not exist at the time the KJB was published) moreover it does not say that it is God's favourite.

In the Treaty of Tripoli, George Washington said that America was in no sense founded on Christian principles.

There is no mention of god in the Constitution and the only mention of god in the Declaration isn't religion specific, it refers to nature's god. "In god we trust" was added to America's money as was "one nation under god" in the Pledge of Allegiance nearly two centuries after America was already established. If you look at old money, there is no mention of god. You don't have to swear on the Bible, it's a choice.

Beyond that, the Establishment Clause of the Constitution makes America legally secular, so all i just said really doesn't matter.
