Comcast Blocks Downloads of King James Bible
Rumors have been circulating for months that cable giant Comcast (despite repeated denials issued by their PR department) has been blocking the widely used BitTorrent on their Internets. While righteous Republican True Christians™ would back corporations trying to protect their property from theft, I'm afraid we have to draw the line at all attempts to stop the spread of the Word of God. Banning BitTorrent is like trying to ban firearms, they both can be used for good and bad purposes.
Friends, we are used to being persecuted, but this is aimed directly at Landover and is an outrage:

NEW YORK - To test claims by users that Comcast Corp. was blocking some forms of file-sharing traffic, The Associated Press went to the Bible.
An AP reporter attempted to download, using file-sharing program BitTorrent, a copy of the King James Bible from two computers in the Philadelphia and San Francisco areas, both of which were connected to the Internet through Comcast cable modems.
We picked the Bible for the test because it's not protected by copyright and the file is a convenient size.
In two out of three tries, the transfer was blocked. In the third, the transfer started only after a 10-minute delay. When we tried to upload files that were in demand by a wider number of BitTorrent users, those connections were also blocked.
Not all Comcast-connected computers appear to be affected, however. In a test with a third Comcast-connected computer in the Boston area, we were unable to test with the Bible, apparently due to an unrelated error. When we attempted to upload a more widely disseminated file, there was no evidence of blocking.
The Bible test was conducted with three other Internet connections. One was provided by Time Warner Inc.'s Time Warner Cable, and the other came from Cablevision Systems Corp. The third was the business-class connection to the AP's headquarters, provided by AT&T Inc. and Cogent Communications Group Inc.
No signs of interference with file-sharing were detected in those tests.

I can't help but think that the Clintons are somehow involved in this. It is imperative that we convert more True Christians™ and Godly Republicans to vote in the upcoming elections. They are trying to deny access to the Bible (KJV1611) and are directly hampering our efforts.
Dear Lord, we implore you to intercede on our behalf, and on the Holy Spirit, and your only begotten Son Jesus Christ, to smite the vile heathen upper management of the Comcast Corporation and to make their stock drop to 52 week lows. Amen.
Glory! Praise Jesus!
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

I don't know if I'm too enthusiastic about people downloading the Bible for free off the internets. Just like music and movie downloading literally takes food off of the tables of famous recording artists and Hollywood directors, so too does downloading the Bible put good book publishers out on the streets. Now sure we occasionally stand outside public high schools and hand out free Bibles to the children as they walk home, give them out at soup kitchens and drop them in cargo crates traditionally used to deliver food over impoverished places of the third world, but those are for the most part sample Bibles. Like free AOL disks that you get in the mail, these Bibles are a sample of God's word, and if one wants to truly be a Christian they must pay for the real deal.

As long as they didn't block the good ol' NIV, I'll be just fine.

If they blocked all translations of the Bible that weren't in a dead language like Latin, I imagine it'd be a dream come true for you. Anything that makes it harder for people to read the Bible, compare it with Catlicker doctrine, and realise that Satan is just making the latter up as he goes along, eh?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
