Primer on the laughable tenets of Tantric Buddhism -
07-18-2020, 04:22 PM
The Tantras are a set of esoteric traditions developed thousands of years ago in India. Although the modern meaning is heavily associated with sex, the original purpose of Tantra was to involve practical or ritual activities in one's worship. Kind of like how some people need to use their hands when doing mental arithmetic.
The practitioners of Tantric Sex believe that spiritual enlightenment can be accelerated by enlisting the passions into religious practice rather than avoiding them. While monks of lower status confine themselves to visualizing an imaginary sexual relationship during meditation, the "masters" reach a point where they can engage in sex without being tainted by it. The master recruits a consort, who is typically a neurotic white Western woman, to be the vessel for his spiritual advances. The combination of religion, sex, power and secrecy can have a potent effect.
As explained by His Eminence Beru Khyentse Rinpoche:
Quote:
"If your guru acts in a seemingly unenlightened manner and you feel it would be hypocritical to think him a Buddha, you should remember that your own opinions are unreliable and the apparent faults you see may only be a reflection of your own deluded state of mind... If your guru acted in a completely perfect manner he would be inaccessible and you would be unable to relate to him. It is therefore out of your Guru's great compassion that he may show apparent flaws... He is mirroring your own faults."

In Tantric sex imagery, the woman must always have her back to the viewer. Women are told to pray that they will be reborn into a male body for only in a man's body can they attain enlightenment. At best women can serve others and at worst they are a nuisance.

Tantric Buddhism is great if you want to do stunts like stuffing a cobra in your mouth, pulling it out your anus, and using it like dental floss to clean your system out. Or we can achieve happiness by accepting Jesus.

Yes, it's astonishing the lengths people will go to to avoid following simple factual God-given rules. Instead they will twist themselves in knots or engage in dangerous snake-play, as you mention.

The thing that the Hindus miss here is that the Bible's promise that we can safely handle serpents applies ONLY to Christians. Think about it--when's the last time a True Christian™ died from snakebite? I can't think of any.

Oh, yes, dear Brother Dr. Toole -- very true indeed. And, I think that we can blame ywood for much of that. Why, some juveniles will see something in the movies or on the television set, and then they think that they should try it at home!

Amen, Dear, and Amen again! As you may well know, my dearly-beloved Daddy was a Pentecostal evangelist, and he used to bring out the snakes, especially at the summer camp meetings. Everybody was perfectly safe, as long as they trusted in the for salvation, as promised from within the blessed pages of the glorious :
Mark 16:18 "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
Oh, I do remember a couple of instances where a couple of people (youngsters, if I do remember correctly) did die from handling the snakes, but it's only because they thought that they could do the things as shown in the above movie clip, ignoring that they were not washed and protected by the blessed of the .
Now, in the clip that follows, you shall see a curious, red-haired woman, wearing glasses. One can tell that she has a very real hunger for the things of , and she needs to be saved from her terrible sins, but refuses to do so. Naturally, she should be very afraid of the snakes -- because she is not a !
John 3:36 "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

More snake stories - this one from a woman who got bitten and just goes on and on and on about it. What a bore!

Well! I so hope that you will agree, dear Brother Dr. Toole: it is always so easy to spot someone who is not a !
Obviously, that woman is lacking in faith. I have a hunch, also, that she might be harboring secret sin in her heart -- quite possibly, resentment toward a neighbor, and/or engaging in gossip.
Ephesians 4:29 " Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."
But, just as importantly, I think it is clear that she was treating the not as her , but as her personal servant. Clearly, she expected to stop whatever He was doing and to answer her demands. I'm afraid that that woman has much to learn. And, if she does not change her tune, then I fear that her next encounter with the snakes will be even worse!
I Corinthians 10:9 "Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents."

The tantric effect on females is so unfortunate, which is what we see in the Buddhist countries of Thailand, Vietnam and Britain, where matrons of a certain age hop on the nearest practitioner's member and promise to enlighten him with their yab yum experience. It happens every day, much to God's disgust.
Oh, for the Biblical days of True Christian™ responsibility, where men -- like King David -- enjoyed their wives for breeding purposes:
"Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger... And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; and his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; and the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital; and the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron [2nd Samuel 1-5]."
