(I was promised that there would be no satanic prayers and no statues around.) As it turned out, it was a sing-song evening and song sheets were handed round

I’m not sure where I need to start with this…

1. You make no mention of the point about Ethiopians I made above, but I come to expect you asking all the “lieberal soul-searching” stuff but, like your satanic master, giving no answers.

2. OK, as an art-critic you make a poor priest and as a priest there is much to be desired about your art criticism. I attach your image and mine side by side and unaltered.
Note the position of Christ’s right hand in both.
Note the contrast, length, angle and saturation of the rays in your picture and mine.

They are not the same. The one on JesOS must have been done by a good Baptist, wherein the artist has depicted Jesus without the malevolent atmosphere of papism, the Polack and the saint (did I just say saint?) There are many versions of this picture, the Vatican may favour one, if they do, I see that as proof positive that it is the wrong one. "Thus is achieved God's desire expressed to St. Faustina during her first vision of the image in Plock: "I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel, and then throughout the world. (Diary, 47)" Catlix now worship paintings!

You seem to take some pleasure in erroneously accusing me of appropriating catlick ideas – well, (a) The church of Rome supplies more ridiculous ideas than you can wave a stick at; we at Landover are here to tell people the Truth; basically, if it’s Catlick, do the other. (b) gloating is probably a mortal sin in your church; 20 hail marys should get you off the hook.

I write this more in sorrow than in anger, I have high hope of having you see The Way, The Truth and The Light so lovingly depicted in God’s Favourite Church. I know that despite your Jesuit learning, you are bright enough and old enough to question some of the core beliefs of Catholicism – doubts persist and this, Mr Thomas, is the door opening. The way ahead is to be seen in the truth illuminated by the light, whilst behind you are guilt and darkness.
