That still doesn't make you all the "subjects" of this bloated, inept, pretentious drama queen new sheriff. He's not in charge. He just enforces what the people in charge say.

So if he's not in charge and we aren't subject to his authority, none of us have to obey the speed limit? Are we free to steal? Perhaps murder?

You almost sound like one of those atheists who say we can be moral and obey the rules without enforcers.

You know as well as I do that being a Christian means relying solely on the threat of punishment and embarrassment in front of everybody to be able to resist the urge to murder people we hate to take their big screen TVs.

Brother, you need a dictionary.

Being subject to someone's authority as an enforcer of the law created by others is not the same as being "his subjects".
