Did the "Tulsa Race Riot" Ever Happen -
05-20-2021, 05:00 PM
Supposedly there were pictures taken. Books have been written. Now three people over 100 years old are claiming they lived there and remember the event that was supposed to have happened in 1924. Personally, I have my doubts.
Some liberals claim in the rich oil city of Tulsa there was a thriving black neighborhood. The black people worked for white people. Those who ran Tulsa read the Bible and knew God did not want mixed race marriages. So they marked off an area where black people could live and marry each other.
That all seems logical. But it is claimed in 1924 some white men started fires in the black area, shot black people and hauled their bodies off in a truck. Some pictures showed this but we all know pictures can be photoshopped. The City of Tulsa promoted new buildings and now there is no evidence any of this ever happened. Are we supposed to believe the minds of people over 100 years old are reliable?
Even if Tulsa Race Race Riot happened, the best for everyone is to pretend it did not happen. Do what Tulsa did, move on. And, without a single burned out building as evidence the best thing to do is to embrace progress.

That's a very curious story, Brother Mr. Mayor, Sir. I think the typography alone bears mentioning. Here is a small selection of quotes:
Quote:
in which white mobs gunned down Black people in the streets
The attacks were sparked when a Black man, Dick Rowland, was accused of sexually assaulting a white woman
After a shot was fired, the white mob chased the Black men to Greenwood.
|
So, how come the word black is capitalized throughout whereas the word white is not? I cannot be alone in finding this sort of self-aggrandizement deeply offensive.
Romans 12:3 seems appropriate here: For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Indeed. I don't see Jesus complaining about the time the Italians flogged and stripped Him and then the Jews killed Him. We should be like Jesus and turn our attention instead to Saving the Jews and the Italians, those poor Mexicans of Europe.

I'm sure that the Tulsa situation was similar. Some decent, law-abiding White folk were visiting the Black part of town hoping to sample the local barbeque and maybe some embers from the fire pit got blown around or something. These things happen. Why all the fuss?

Man, this is getting old. Now a professor wants to poke around Tulsa looking for bodies from 100 years ago. Forgetaboutit. If there were missing people back then, they may have disappeared in some other way. If the riot never happened maybe they hitch hiked to Mexico. Or, they changed their names. Like the City of Tulsa, this country needs to move on.

All of the alleged victims and accused perpetrators of this supposed incident, if it really happened, are dead now anyway. All of them have gone on to meet their maker and receive judgment. If the accounts of the event happened as they did according to these radical liberal counterhistorian activist professors, then it is likely that all participants on both sides are currently burning in Hell. Jesus has rendered his verdict, and there is no appeal. There is no point in trying to help them, no use crying over damned souls. These people need to move on and focus on the souls that can still be saved for Jesus.

Why is it when those people die, they have to give it a special name and a day and have liberal professors write papers about it a century later. Everybody dies sometime. And it's always this sad thing supposedly. Normal people celebrate their illustrious past without all the yap yap yap (yet another protest).
