Republican Senator Mitch McConnell was successful in putting money into the stimulus bill to create a "horse racing commission" to oversea horse racing in his state of Kentucky. This is the kind of stimulus we need, helping wealthy people enjoy themselves.

What we don't need is more money to help unclean poor people muck breeding more unemployed children. American needs its best people to step forward and be successful.

A horse racing commission will professionalize horse racing to see that horses are available, bets can be placed easily and people in the stands are comfortable.

Covid relief: Trump demands changes to sign $900bn bill

The bill provides for a $600 payment to most Americans but Trump said he was asking Congress to increase the “ridiculously low” figure to $2,000, or $4,000 for a couple. However, it was Republican lawmakers who resisted higher payments.

“House Democrats have fought for months to provide relief to the American people, which Republicans rejected at every turn,” said the House majority leader, Steny Hoyer. “Now that the president has agreed to direct payments of $2,000, we will ask for unanimous consent to pass a bill this week to give Americans this assistance.”

The House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, chimed in: “Republicans repeatedly refused to say what amount the president wanted for direct checks. At last, the president has agreed to $2,000 … Let’s do it!”

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also expressed support for approving the $2,000 direct payments.

But, where does that leave Mitch's Federal Horse Racing Commission? Mitch is so careful not to grow the federal government unless absolutely necessary. Apparently, this is one of those needs and I want to support him. The practical political things is this. Presidents come and go. Mitch is there forever. We may need him for our war against sin.

I know it looks bad but I watched an interview with his lawyer who explained that the Georgia DA was forced to offer a mild plea deal because, ahem... "They were not ready." It was a masterful piece of lawyering to request a speedy trial. It shows the Georgia DA is in disarray and desperate to offer pleas to cover their embarrassment.

No such luck in March 2024! The Cheese will be testifying TRUTH alongside fellow plea-taker The Kraken. Finally they will get to show the overwhelming evidence that they were not taking away the right to vote from the citizens of Georgia.
