I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for that to happen. Russia is winning this war and are on the ascendency. The cream of the Ukrainian military is being destroyed. Both, no. That's why one of the advantages if this war is that it will take decades for Russia to recover militarily. Go to Wikipedia and read what happened between USSR and Finland in 1940, that will explain to you why Finland decided to join NATO immediately after Russian invasion of Ukraine. From the Finnish point of view, what happened in 1940 was a victory: they lost some territory but they defended their freedom. Early in 2022, I thought something like that was the best case scenario for Ukraine. 500 days later, I now think it is plausible for Ukraine to regain all of its land. Yes, reparations may be a stretch (I wrote that mostly because I knew it would make you angry), but girl can dream.

I dread to admit it, Brother, but these barbaric Slavic dialects were spoken at home, as both of my parents hailed from these God-forsaken places.
