The Kilogram: Science's Golden Calf -
09-30-2010, 04:47 AM
Friends, in my short time on this forum, I have learned much, but it saddens me to see that you may not be aware of a very important threat to all of Christiandom.
I speak of course, of the false idol Scientists hold dear; the International Prototype Kilogram
Taken from http://www.bipm.org/en/scientific/mass/prototype.html (A heathen website if ever there was one)
Quote:
The kilogram is the last remaining base unit of the SI that is still defined by a material artefact.
The international prototype is kept with its six official copies in a vault at the BIPM.
The international prototype was manufactured in the 1880s of an alloy of 90 % platinum-10 % iridium. Four of the six official copies date from the same period.
In addition, copies of the international prototype have been manufactured by the BIPM for use as 1 kg national prototypes. The first of these were distributed in 1889. Since the 1880s the BIPM has produced more than eighty 1 kg prototypes in Pt/Ir.
The BIPM also maintains a number of 1 kg copies for current use.

Surely we cannot allow these abominations in the eyes of the Lord to exist! Wouldn't it be better to melt them down, sell the metal, and use the proceeds for the Church?
"And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it." Exodus 32:20
"And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded" Deuteronomy 17:3
"And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted" Deuteronomy 32:37

Considering the Bible measures things in "cubits" and "talents" and God's Favorite Country® America measures things in "inches" and "pounds", the metric system is some bizarre Eurosocialist construction. It's a tool of the Devil. And I don't know why they base their system of measurement on some holy artefact locked away in some private lair.
Instead of trying to get America to adopt the metric system like all other countries in the world, why don't we get the rest of the world to adopt our system?!??!?

Pounds were good enough for Our Lord Jesus Christ, but they're not good enough for fag-enabling Eurotrash?
John 12:3: Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
Now show me where in the King James Bible that's expressed in kilograms (or kilogrammes, or whatever the "correct" spelling is this week). Take your time. I'll wait.

Who came with the metric system? Europeans (as in communist homosexuals) Why there did it was it made the size of thier tallywackers more impressive. Now instead of saying "I am six inches" they can say "look boys eighteen centimeters of man meat here". The same thing with their sissy little cars. Instead of weezing along at a pathetic 50 mph on the old autobahn they can tell themselves they are going at a man 80 kph. This is what socialism does, turns everything gay.
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

The pound/inch/mile system is the most unlogical ever.
You can't easily switch from inch to feet/miles
1 meter = 100 cm, easy.
39.3 inches = 3.28 feet
Where's the logic in that? It's just confusing.

Don't talk nonsense. 1 feet is 12 inches, there is nothing confusing about that. You are deliberately making it more complicated than it is to spread your lies about the Satanic metric system. It's like saying 16/7 meter = 228.571429 centimeters.

If God wants us to use a system that you consider to be logical, why does the Bible use the units of measurement that it does? Don't you think that the Almighty could have introduced the metrosexual system in the Bible if He so chose?

Hm yeah ok.
Still, saying one meter is 100cm is far less confusing than 1 feet = 12 inches. You can easily switch to cm/dm/m/km using powers of ten.
And it's not because you're used to the imperial system that you should call the metric system "satanic".
It has strictly nothing to do with the Bible. The English invented it and tried to spread it all around the world as they colonised land.
Actually the Greenwich meridian line should have been named the Bordeaux meridian line. But we, the French, made a deal with the English. We'd let them call it the Greenwich line if they changed their imperial system to the metric system. They lied and didn't change it, obviously.
It seems like everything that doesn't go your way has a "Satanic" patch onto it.

Oh how crude and boorish of you.
1 inch can be broken down very simply. 1 inch = 1.00 1/2 inch =.500
1/4 =.250 or 1.00* 100= .100*100=.001*100=.0001 simple even for a cheese eating surrender monkey.

The metric system doesn't even make sense in Europe.
A Swedish mile = 10688 meters.
How logical is that?

Why would miles make any sense; God came up with them. Of course miles are ineffable to the mortal mind because their creator is ineffable. The metric is a man made system so it only appears to make sense but is really quite worthless. That's why Americans refuse to us it.
FACT: who else used metric?

I am not surprised as any official use of the Swedish mile have been baned by the European Union.

God didn't come up with miles. The English did.
If god indeed come up with miles then catholics would have burnt countries to ashes untill everyone started using them.
You're using a system made by people you hate, the English, get over it.
Also Staline (Saying Joseph Staline doesn't make really sense, as Staline is a nickname) used to eat beef.
You eat beef too, don't you? Oh wow...

Of course not! Americans invented it while the English were busy driving on the wrong side of the road. The English just stole it from us.

Where did you get the outlandish notion that the Catholics care about what God wants? Take a look at this thread and learn otherwise.

McGrath:
You need to keep something in mind when trying to pound some sense into the Landover Baptists' heads. They're not like the usual cultural-Christian bliss ninnies who use church as a social club. They take their magic sky pixie and their big book of fairy tales seriously; as an inescapable result, they view everything through their "True Christian™" goggles.
