A small town in Pennsylvania will soon be home to a cross over 100 feet high. While there are higher crosses, and the huge Touchdown Jesus Statue, we can be thankful for this one, a monument to True Christians everywhere.

Many of our citizens in Freehold have requested a big cross to make a statement about our City's love for Jesus. My view is we would need a cross higher than the local Principle Insurance Company Building which is 630 feet high. Anything less would not be pleasing in His eye. Some Catholics in Spain have a cross 500 feet high so ours in Freehold would be the highest in the world. Surely if we all pray we can find a way to build it.

This is just my opinion, but seeing how Pennsylvania is full of Quakers and Amish, a cross of that high won't be enough to assuage Jesus' anger at all their sin. If we built a cross in one of the Landover Baptist compound fields, not only would it be grand enough to cast a shadow over the entire city, but surely Jesus would smile even brighter on the Midwest as a whole.

Those strange people who drive horses and buggies will hardly look up to see a puny 100 foot high cross. We can put up the real deal in Freehold. Our people with their SUV's and sunroofs will see it and praise Jesus.

When it comes to tall constructions I hope people don't all start speaking the same language otherwise we'll have another Genesis 11:1-32 situation on our hands.

Do not neglect girth. It's one thing to have a very tall cross but if it's thin then people will not respect it. A large cross IMHO should be wide and tall. This one is only the 2nd tallest but look at the base - it dwarfs the trees and the puny humans, a true colossus.

And there seem to be levels. Degenerate types could get inside and turn the place into a den of ill repute. It would be dry, warm (especially at the higher levels) and whatever was taking place would be obscured from passers by by the walls. If Mexicans were involved presumably a tunnel from elsewhere—under a tree for example—would be constructed and materials brought in to make floors. Even camp furniture! Such as those inflatable beds!!
