Public school, Private school, or Homeschool-Which do you prefer? -
09-14-2009, 09:36 PM
I've seen many threads about the "evils of public school" and how private schooling and homeschooling are better. I was wondering which type of education everyone prefers and why they believe their child is better off with that education.
Thank you and God Bless
Acts 2:17

Public schools are the best. Your children will experience much more in life with a diverse background. I went to public school and I understand people much better, people from different cultures and beliefs. Private schooling and especially Home schooling shelter children from making their own decisions in life.

Without a doubt home schooling is the best with additional assistance from your local Christian school. You need to protect your child from bullies, perverts and intellectual rapists like atheists. Since most public school employees are secularists the home and church are the only proper place a child can receive an education. Children need to understand unfamiliar ideas are wrong before they are exposed to them.

I went to a Public School. It was a complete nightmare for my parents. There were so many temptations. Too many.
My mum pulled me out of school at 11 and I was taught at home.
Best thing that ever happened to me. And I am so grateful to my parents.
So I would promote home tutoring everytime.
When I have children . They will be taught at home.

Public schools are a lost cause. Even if you can get Christians elected to the school boards and appointed to the PTA, the Federal Government and the Supreme Court have effectively banned all prayer and mention of Jesus in the classroom and curriculum. Then you have the meddling of the ACLU, ACORN, and the SEIU teachers union undermining the teaching of Christian values and funneling your tax money to socialist causes. They are a cesspool that needs to be closed down.
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

Public School: Avoid like the plague (in fact, it's even more dangerous than the plague). Public schools are brainwashing centers, turning kids into robots that work for the atheist-homosexual-socialist-obamunist agenda. If, for whatever reason your child is in public school, you need to counter it with equal doses of church attendance and family prayer. Otherwise you'll have a kid coming home advocating heresies like gay marriage, and saying the earth revolves around the sun.
Home School: The best option for most people, because you have complete control on how much or how little to educate your child. Maybe you think that at age 18, they still shouldn't know about sex...that's your right! Algebra, who uses it anyways, so why teach it? It's up to you.
Private School: Under some circumstances, the very best idea. Just as long as you can find a private school that you agree with and can afford, it's even better than homeschooling. You get professional teachers for your kids, and a nice safe social environment free of drugs and sexual hankypanky (like holding hands in class). Just make sure you research the school first! You don't want to inadvertently place your kid in a Catholic school....you might as well just sign his soul over to the Devil and his body over to the nearest heavy-breathing priest!

Public Schools are the public daycare for the trolls that come to our forums.
Private School, it could be a good option depending on what is taught. Careful, there are Catholic private Schools that you may accidentally enroll your kids in. Remember Catholics are fake Christians and rape young children.
Homeschooling is the best in my option. I am homeschooling my children even at there young age. It's never to early to memorize the Holy Bible, I was around five years old when I began to memorize the Bible. My father home-schooled me as did his father before him and so on and forth.

As a cop, I wish more people WOULD home school their kids to keep them off the streets!
Home schooling, as the good Reverend Jim points out, allows parents to decide which material is worth teaching and what to throw out.
Nonsense like evolution, sex education, and science can be culled out and replaced with creationism, information about premarital sex and masturbation causing diseases and blindness, and Bible study.
At the end of the day, who is to say that the parents don't have all the qualifications of an entire faculty of trained professional teachers?

I'd like to add that many home-schoolers went on to do great things.
For instance, NASCAR driver Joey Logano was home-schooled!

Private Christian Curriculum can be a toss up, sometimes. Just so long as you know EXACTLY what you're sending your child off to.
My parents sent me to an evangelical school, due to their publicity gained by their Jesus Camp summer fun program. I think their motivation was, that the school had a very accredited Young-Earth-Creationism program, that offered a 4 year degree to students before they even reached the age of 15. All was well, until my father found out that I was in mixed-gender company, and being taught by a WOMAN. He beat me with a gravel-rake until I saw the abominable form in which I was being taught. Fortunately, my father never inflicted a woman-teacher/co-ed students upon me again - as I sorely remember the tribulations that the infraction created for me.
So, I suppose I'd go with Home Schooling as the best option; provided the local(within 50 miles drive of my house, with my mom's 6 M.P.G. S.U.V.) private school has a True Christian American faculty, and was NOT a co-ed brothel.

I am proud of the home schooling exchange we have here at LBC. I teach a class every day about Christian History. We focus on subjects from 6000 B.C. to 33 A.D.
It gets a bit sparse until 1517.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

My three oldest sons are homeschooled with my buddy Earl's three daughters by his help-meet Mabel. I also take off from the lab early on Tuesdays and Thursdays to teach the children about True Science™ and Christian Apologetics.
I was a public school teacher in Piggett, Texas before moving to Freehold, and although I had a lot of elbow room to advance Biblically Correct® curricula in my science classes compared to what would have been the case in other states with an atheofascist-controlled Board of Education, I ultimately faced persecution when my mentor and liege Don McLeroy lost to a false Christian in the Republican primary election. Even in a relatively Godly state like Texas, the forces of evil are working to thwart God in the classroom.
My oldest son, Leviticus, and his bride-to-be, Ruth, will begin their first year of the Bob Jones Curriculum later this year. My wife Rebekah, Earl, Mabel, and I are meeting with Pastor Levi after services this coming Sunday about joining the Landover Homeschool Exchange.
II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power
The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

I disagree that public schools are bad it's just because people from different walks of life go to these kind of school does not mean that the school won't do any good for your kid. Private and public school has almost the same quality of education the only difference is that private schools are well-funded and public schools obviously have lesser funds. With homeschooling I think it is a way for parents to make sure that their kids learn what they should learn and that they will do it on their own pace. So if I were to choose I'd go for both private and public school. I've been to both and had great experiences from the both school.

First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.
Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.
Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .
Please make a thread of your own in the " Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.
And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.
I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

I went to the best private schools money could buy. Sad part was they were all 'forward thinking' and gave out scholarships to people of other races while my parents paid full price. It was during this part of my life that I saw the inequities of life and decided to do something about it. Because of my stellar boarding school education, I was able to make informed decisions. So in the third grade, I decided to become a Baptist. I do however, refuse to make financial gifts to the schools as they will waste the money on beggars and not spend it on those that will be the future leaders of the free world.
I sent my sons to LBC preparatory school, my daughters were all home schooled by my wife. Not the brightest woman in the world but she knows when to shut her mouth. You will never find a child of mine at a public school. They even let messican kids in those places!
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

They let illegal immigrants into public schools? They aren't even citizens of this country, they don't deserve to use the public daycare for their education.
I'm currently homeschooling my son and my wife is teaching my daughter, under my instruction of course.
How fast can you have a house built in Freehold? I'm looking into moving there soon, the illegal immigration population here is rising at an uncomfortably high rate. I'm afraid in the next few years they'll be coming for my family........
Homeschooling and Private Schooling are the only options that should be considered for education, public schools are a breeding ground for trolls, homers, liberals and atheist trash.

You cannot just 'move to Freehold'. You are 'invited' to move there. Just like you cannot just enter the main gates saying you want to 'look around'. Bobby-Joe and his crack security team would have you back on the Des Moines beltway faster than you could say 'Shoo Demons'.
I have been invited to move there but I do so love the mountains of the Appalachians. I have been thinking about buying a little place for the occasional weekend as my permanent suite at the Landover Westin is pretty expensive, though I am able to write it off.

If one can find a good private school that is the best choice. This way the wife can attend to her wifely duties of cooking, cleaning, and knitting sweaters.
