Should I take a cooking class? -
07-25-2011, 06:27 PM
Dear LBC,
As many of you know by now, I have come from an unSaved™ family. Before I repented of my sins and deceptions, I had committed the sin of vegetarianism (Romans 14:2), and the most "cooking" I ever did was in the microwave, some was pre-made mixes, the rest of my diet consisted of unGodly fast "food". Since my mother was working outside the home, I was never really taught how to properly cook a real meal.
I know that, in order to obtain a Godly husband, I must learn to cook, bake, and clean perfectly to keep him happy.
My question is this: should I take a cooking class at a community college, should I learn from various cooking shows on television, or should I simply obtain a good recipe book and learn from that?
Thank you in advance, and God bless!
Matthew 9:12-13
(12) But when Jesus heard [that], he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
(13) But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Certainly no college classes, since they approach everything in a "multi-cultural" fashion. You might end up making your Christian husband sick with slope or spook food.
Television should be avoided entirely unless TBN has a cooking show.
I recommend "The What Would Jesus Eat" cookbook written by a Godly man, Don Colbert, MD.

Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

OLIVE OIL - must use. Spanish is the best.
I always use LOTS of olive oil!
Salad and vegetals - is essencial ingredient of a helth diet!
And for a perfect wife-husband relation with cooking - VARIETY!
Remember is the espice of the life!
Good luck - I hope my advises are helpfulls!

Mac & Cheese is easy to make, but I would be ashamed if that was the best I could offer my future Christian husband.

I suggest you also avoid any meal that includes wieners, bratwurst, or polish sausages in their untrimmed state - your future husband may not take it well when you try to force one of those things down his throat.
Your pie, though, is a whole different story. Serve it to him regularly and he will appreciate it.

Brother HTannor is quite right. When you put out a spread of your pie, don't just slap it on a plate, dress it up, make it interesting. Be sure it is always wet and jucy. Nothing worse than a dry and crusty slice.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I hesitate to get involved in this tiff between the Godly Brother Porter and the lovely Sister Maria, but I feel I must offer this in Maria's defense:
In all those times I've been at her back, I've never paid any attention to her weird feet.

You need to take a baking class! That is the most important thing, anyone can boil potatoes and make a steak, but baking cakes and pies... it's really hard!
Anyway, if I were you I would go down to my local church and ask a christian (married!) ladies husband if she could teach me something. Hopefully she'll say yes and you will spend a fun, christian afternoon in the kitchen baking pies!
Also, I hope you have read what foods are prohibited in a True Christian home?
Yours in Christ

What on Earth do you think you are doing? I thought you were trying to be a good Christian Virgin and now you profane this place with abominations!
Leviticus 11:9-12
9These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. 12Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.
Whatever next?

Now, now ladies. Let's not get our knickers in a knot here.
Quality beef and pastries are equally important in a True Christian™ man's diet. I know Mrs. Porter is doing her job when I have a rare filet mignon, a baked potato and some peach pie. And I reward her when it is especially outstanding.
The point here is Christian food. None of that slop from Iberiastan.
