Don't forget that the Darwinists and Old Earthers just LOVE that stupid hole. They believe that it continually evolved from successively smaller canyons, and that it ultimately descended from a ditch or something. They must be forgetting that their stupid theory is proven incorrect by Genesis 1:9-10. God created the Earth as is. He didn't set the canyons and the continents to evolve any more than he set the animals to evolve or the climate to change.

I read both chapters very carefully and could see nothing suggesting that the heavens and the earth were finished (except for parts of North America which needed additional work on inland fjords) or that on the seventh day God ended his work (but on the eighth day God back to it and for the next 5,026,779,999,993 days was busy creating stars, blowing up stars, forming planets from the debris and populating them with germs, subducting entire regions during countless hadean epochs, removing oceans of water (or methane) while bombarding others with comets so much to do so little time) bringing us to the question of Eve.

Clearly geological formations are things. For the Bible critics who look to humanistic ideas for inspiration there's a big problem. They teach that mountains, ravines, fjords and ocean trenches are transient features. They place their trust in something which does not and cannot endure forever. Humans are not geological features. Adam was offered his choice of companion animal but got rather picky and an alternative needed to be found. Eve however was not a seperate creation but a modification of something already existing. A rib, fleshed out. In response to sin there have been major smitings, sure, and they leave their mark. But this has nothing to do with creation. This is destruction.
