Quote:
"If you're teaching — if you're having a discussion on whatever the case may be, on slavery, then you could talk about everything dealing with slavery. The good, the bad, and the ugly," said Garofalo. "The whole—"

"There's no good to slavery, though," cut in Hilferty, as nervous laughter erupted around the chamber.

"Well, whatever the case may be," said Garofalo.
Maybe the reason this Hilferty person isn't aware of all the good slavery has done is due to indoctrination of liberal schools. Much like how schools refuse to teach intelligent design and instead force evolution down our children's throats.

What about the pyramids in Egypt? Many wonders of the world that were only made possible due to cheap and forced labor. Not to mention all the economic benefits.

The Bible supports slavery too!

Ephesians 6:5-8 "Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; 6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;"

I'm so glad you brought this up, Brother Warrior. The good from slavery is underdiscussed. Let's take the great figures in the Bible. All but a few were very wealthy. It is from this wealth we learn of their accomplishments. To be that wealthy they needed slaves. I'm talking King David and all the rest. It's almost like, no slaves, no Bible.

And, if they had not been slaves the Negroes that came from Africa would have kept their indigenous religions, whatever they were. As slaves they were required to accept Christianity. That saved them from an eternity in Hell. Slavery helped the people of Africa.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Thank you for mentioning this important subject, Brother Warrior. There is a great deal of fuss being made about so-called "modern slavery". Now although I entirely agree with absolutely any criticism of the sheikhs of Araby, the whiny liberals extend their carping to employers of domestic staff in civilized and semi-civilized countries.

Do we hear Brother Rutherford complaining of the terms and conditions of his employment with Pastor Zeke? No, Sirs, we do not! He would be the first to express his gratitude for a square meal a day! Do these people want to return him to the indignity of dumpster diving?

Similarly, our domestic staff here are privileged. They know the comfort of a roof over their heads, washing facilities and our protection from the risk of being picked up by officious immigration clerks, put back on to their leaky dinghies and pointed in the general direction of France.

Slavery has become an ugly word. We need to reclaim its original, charitable meaning.

I understand that there are a lot of very nice buildings around Washington DC and other places that would not have been possible without slavery. Think of how expensive they would have been if the builders had had to pay both materials and labor!

And what about fashion? Does anyone believe all those fine 19th ladies could have swooped about in those big, full skirts if they had to cook and clean and look after their own children?

No, if The Lord hadn't ordained a servant class to shoulder the hard work, then our great nation would be composed of one story hovels and people dressed in flour sacks. It's almost enough to make you support reparations. . . But not really. After all, the slaves were well fed and had roofs over their heads when they were building all those things, so it's not as if they didn't get anything out of it.

Plenty of white people living at that time couldn't even afford a slave. They and their descendants are the ones who have really been left behind. But you never hear anybody talk about how to improve their lives!

Plus, had it not been for slavery, the ancestors of today's African Americans would have remained in Africa. So they owe their very existence as sort-of-Americans to slavery!

Amen, and how very true this is, dear Sister Joanna! Those colored people should think of that before they open their big mouths and whine about reparations, and whatever other complaints they think they have. Goodness knows that has been more than good and kind to them, but they prefer to display an enormous amount of prejudice and resentment toward us!

And, where in this big, wide world could they be treated better? Is it not obvious that things could be so much worse for them, elsewhere? If not for , where else would they have this:

Not to mention, the Bible gives slaves rights too.

For example, you're not allowed to kill your slaves Exodus 21:20-21 , and if you gouge out your slaves eyes or knock out their teeth you have to let them go Exodus 21:26-27! How gracious and loving is God?

It's probably dog-poop. My mom tells me that back in the 1970s, when she was a child, they used to put chalk in dog-food. Nobody knows why. But the result was that when the poop dried out, it turned white.

The people in that hut seem to have turned it into a decorative "feature", but I suppose they have to work with the available materials.

Liberal false Christians tie themselves in knots trying to "interpret" the Bible passages on slavery to mean the opposite of what they plainly say. Everything becomes so much simpler to understand when you realize that when the Bible conflicts with a modern perspective, one of them is wrong, and it isn't the Bible.

This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

This part of the Bible that I don't like is just an allegory, or represents the outdated beliefs of bronze age goat herders that aren't relevant today. But this part of the Bible that I do like is the inerrant word of God. I've never once heard a false Christian say anything to the effect that "I don't agree with this verse, but God says so, so I have to do it."

It's almost like these people are picking and choosing which parts of the Bible they like and using them to create a God in their own image who agrees with their own beliefs 100%. I personally would like it if Proverbs 23:2 wasn't in the Bible, but I dislike eternal torture in the Lake of Fire even more. The Bible is indisputably pro-slavery. Enjoy Hell, false Christians and mutilators of the Bible!

That's something I never considered, Sister Lytton-Vasey. Would the slaves be considered saved as they worked under their master? That's something I wonder about. If so, then slaves owe their very souls to the white man for that!

I am sure that the pyramids would have been double their size, if slave labor was used, instead of unionized strike-organizing fat lazy bums who build royal tombs in Egypt. The Egyptians did not think of that - much later, ancient Romans were the first civilization to design an economy based on large-scale slavery.

Indeed, Sister. And, let's not forget that slavery has been a respectable African institution for millennia. It was African kings who organized raids to capture slaves to be sold to the West, and African soldiers who did it. White merchants simply waited on the Atlantic shores and paid African intermediaries who dealt with the kings. Even today, social structure in Africa depends on who descends from free Africans and who descends from enslaved ones.

... or to assist them in their own endeavors. Rumor has it that Mansa Musa took 12,000 slaves among his retinue of 60,000-odd on his so-called pilgrimage to Mecca. Their job was to carry the gold bars, which has always seemed like a risky business to me. But I expect they were securely chained.

Absolutely correct. White Americans never enslaved blacks. All we did was purchase farm tools that we later learned had the ability to mimic our speech, and to some extent, think for themselves. By the time we realized our mistake, it was too late! We had lost the receipt.

To this day, we are suffering the consequences of that impulsive shopping trip.

More unjust persecution toward our job creator class.

Quote:
South Carolina man who was forced to work over 100 hours every week for years without pay and subjected to verbal and physical abuse was supposed to receive close to $273,000 in restitution after his former manager pleaded guilty.

But that initial amount was too low, an appellate court ruled in April. The man should have received more than double that amount -- closer to $546,000 -- from the manager to account for federal labor laws, according to the ruling.

John Christopher Smith was forced to work at a cafeteria in Conway without pay for years. His manager, Bobby Edwards, pleaded guilty to forced labor in 2018 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his abuse of Smith, a Black man who has intellectual disabilities.

Smith started working at the cafeteria as a part-time dishwasher when he was 12, according to the recent ruling. His first 19 years of employment there, when the restaurant was managed by other members of Edwards' family, were paid.

But when Edwards took over the restaurant in 2009, Smith was moved into an apartment next to the restaurant and forced to work more than 100 hours every week without pay, according to the ruling.

Let's do some math

2021-2009= 12 (he worked there for 12 years)
52 * 100 = (he worked 5,200 hours a year)
12 * 5,200 = 62,400 (he worked 62,400 hours over 12 years)
546,000 / 62,400 = $8.75

You're telling me this retard freak's work was really worth $8.75 an hour?? He'd be lucky to get a dollar an hour.

Quote:
The Fair Labor Standards Act's liquidated-damages provision holds that if failing to pay a worker's wages on time is so detrimental to that worker's "minimum standard of living," then they should be paid double that amount, the Supreme Court decided in 1945.

"When an employer fails to pay those amounts, the employee suffers losses, which includes the loss of the use of that money during the period of delay," the federal appeals court said.

"minimum standard of living"? We have homeless people out in the street all the time. He lived in an apartment. Clearly he had a decent standard of living. Yet that's not good enough for liberal judges who demand retard freaks live like kings.

Quote:
"Edwards effected this forced labor by taking advantage of Jack's intellectual disability and keeping Jack isolated from his family, threatening to have him arrested, and verbally abusing him," the ruling reads.
Smith feared Edwards, who once dipped metal tongs into grease and pressed them into Smith's neck when Smith failed to quickly restock the buffet with fried chicken, the ruling says. Edwards also whipped Smith with his belt, punched him and beat him with kitchen pans, leaving Smith "physically and psychologically scarred," according to the ruling.
But Smith also feared what might happen if he attempted to escape, he told CNN affiliate WPDE in 2017.
"I wanted to get out of there a long time ago. But I didn't have nobody I could go to," he told the affiliate. "I couldn't go anywhere. I couldn't see none of my family."

This poor employer was no doubt frustrated and fedup by Smith's constant screwing up, but having the huge heart that he did, he didn't have the heart to fire a disabled person knowing he was probably doing somewhere in the ballpark of his best. So he kept him on staff for years, paying him the most he could afford to pay.

Maybe he had nowhere to go to and no family because even his family disowned his sorry behind.

If this employer was the only person he could go to, perhaps the free market dictated that nobody else was willing to hire him. He didn't point a gun at him in his house and force him to come to work. He could have quit, but didn't.

Now because of minimum wage laws and other tyranny, these disabled people won't be able to find work at all and will have to live out on the streets.

Big government tyranny destroys another business. This is another example of the potential good in "slavery" and how political correctness and big government intervention can ruin everything.

It's becoming clear we're going to see more of this socialism with Biden. Here is a man operating a legitimate business. And, he has an employee who comes to work everyday without being forced by a gun. This is what free enterprise is all about. It's win win.

Now here comes Biden to take down another business.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

I do not understand this story. It says he worked years without being paid... then it says this:

Quote:
Smith feared Edwards, who once dipped metal tongs into grease and pressed them into Smith's neck when Smith failed to quickly restock the buffet with fried chicken, the ruling says.
His job, the task assigned to him as an employee of the kitchen, was to prepare the chicken in a timely manner. He didn't do that. No reason is given as to why. I fail to see what he did that warranted compensation, because it sure wasn't his job!

Quote:
Edwards also whipped Smith with his belt, punched him and beat him with kitchen pans, leaving Smith "physically and psychologically scarred," according to the ruling.
Yes, okay, this is bad stuff. But again, it's a distraction from what they aren't telling us. What work did he do? The article says he was a dishwasher, yet fails to provide an example of him washing a single dish!

It is clear to me that the Smith boy was nothing more than a squatter. Like most blacks, he believed himself entitled to a salary, benefits, unscarred flesh, the whole red carpet treatment... simply for taking up space. Sorry, but this is the real world. You cannot expect to live large without putting in a little elbow grease.

There also seems to be an ignorance of basic economics here. Let's pretend for a moment that Smith actually did his job (without pay). He still benefited from his labor, as he helped generate wealth for his superiors — wealth that would eventually trickle down and enrich his quality of life.

In a truly free market, one where the government isn't gobbling up every penny in sight, there can be no such thing as slavery. How beautiful is that?

Here again, we see an example of an extraordinary individual standing up for Truth in Jesus®.

"Slaves Loved Their Masters!" So, says Martha Huckabay*, President of the Women's Republican Club of New Orleans and a former delegate for Donald Trump, Himself. Mrs. Huckabay has the courage to put all this modern American angst over slavery in Biblical terms.

"Slavery has been around since before Jesus Christ came to take away the sins of the world. Today's 'slavery' topic is a leftist trap! It is neither true nor based on real facts."

With brave, Christian women like her taking the lead, we can steer schoolchildren in this country towards Salvation and away from the debilitating effects of "White Guilt"--to say nothing of the dangers of "Black Power".

Though, I wish that she had been a little more overt in her assertion that slavery was NOT one of the sins of the world that Jesus came to take away. He was happy to leave that in place when He ascended and frankly, He could be excused if He were bewildered when He returns because He never commanded us to mess with the particular social system.

* I am assuming that the lady is some relation to Governor Mike and Sister Sarah, but with a broader accent.

His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
