In Sunday's article on his AIG website, Ken Ham took the war on evolution to the stars when he responded to this recent article from The Register (without directly quoting from or linking to it).

A group of top NASA scientists told the space agency's chief yesterday that the forthcoming generation of space telescopes are likely to discover habitable Earth-like worlds and probably alien life – perhaps within 20 years.

Ham's objection to NASA's statement is twofold.

1. Aliens do NOT exist

The Bible, in sharp contrast to the secular worldview, teaches that earth was specially created, that it is unique and the focus of God’s attention (Isaiah 66:1 and Psalm 115:16). Life did not evolve but was specially created by God, as Genesis clearly teaches. Christians certainly shouldn’t expect alien life to be cropping up across the universe. Well, that makes sense. One does not normally believe in the existence of something without any evidence.

2. If aliens do exist, they are all going to hell anyway

And I do believe there can’t be other intelligent beings in outer space because of the meaning of the gospel. You see, the Bible makes it clear that Adam’s sin affected the whole universe. This means that any aliens would also be affected by Adam’s sin, but because they are not Adam’s descendants, they can’t have salvation. One day, the whole universe will be judged by fire, and there will be a new heavens and earth. God’s Son stepped into history to be Jesus Christ, the “Godman,” to be our relative, and to be the perfect sacrifice for sin—the Savior of mankind.

Jesus did not become the “GodKlingon” or the “GodMartian”! Only descendants of Adam can be saved. God’s Son remains the “Godman” as our Savior. In fact, the Bible makes it clear that we see the Father through the Son (and we see the Son through His Word). To suggest that aliens could respond to the gospel is just totally wrong.

An understanding of the gospel makes it clear that salvation through Christ is only for the Adamic race—human beings who are all descendants of Adam.

Space exploration is a waste of time and money

"I’m shocked at the countless hundreds of millions of dollars that have been spent over the years in the desperate and fruitless search for extraterrestrial life . . .

Secularists are desperate to find life in outer space, as they believe that would provide evidence that life can evolve in different locations and given the supposed right conditions! The search for extraterrestrial life is really driven by man’s rebellion against God in a desperate attempt to supposedly prove evolution!"

In contrast, the millions of dollars that have been spent over the years on the fruitful search for evidence to support creationism and the Flood have really paid off. Just look at Ken Ham's Godly stewardship. When will NASA stop wasting taxpayer's money?

Again, a wonderful and unbiased summary of the highlights of Creation Science!

I also appreciate that you examine the works of Dr. Ham critically. Although he's a highly-appreciated scholar and undoubtedly on the top of the complex field of Creation Science, it is always good to remember that AiG, his organization, is not infallible unlike our magnificent KJV!

In this case, Ham is certainly on the right track, but sometimes his liberal world view overtakes his scholarship. I've followed his work for some time, and the study you summarized is one of his best regarding cosmology. If we look at his work in general, we can see some general trends as follows:

1. His concept of the Bible is excellent with infallibility etc., as the AiG Statement of Faith explains.

2. His Sodomistic theology is also first class with straightforward condemnation of nauseating homertrash.

3. His views on evil lootion are highly laudable! He understands that evilootion is a hoax by Satan and that evilution vs. Creation is the bottom line of defence during the End of Times.

4. So far, very good. Then we run into some minor problems with his views on races and marriage. He rightly warns us from marrying anyone else but True Christians™ but he does not accept the sin of Ham and Canaan (Genesis 9:22-27) as the moment of birth for the less developed races.

I suppose a True Christian™ could somehow accept a person with the above views as not TOTALLY corrupted but the 5. Creation theology of Ken Ham is in direct opposition to all that is beautiful and precious in the Bible. He disregards the solid nature of the Firmament (Genesis 1:6-20), he accepts the stellar nature of the Sun, promotes the views on several light years, distant 'galaxies' and other secular fallacies. And the 'sperical Earth'... Earth orbiting the Sun, etc. etc. Once you start to doubt the Bible regarding these issues, it never ends! One error and nothing is certain and that is of course unacceptable. This is where Dr. Ham goes astray similar to so many initially promising scholars.

This is exactly why we need active Creation Scientists such as you, Brother! To sieve from the lieberal scientific results the gems that are of the True Creation Science™! Excellent work!

Do you have scriptural support for this, dear? I think there's no need to make stuff up. The Holy Bible has all the information you need right there within in its pages. I suggest you read more, post less, and read the Holy Bible so you know what's really in there. Then you can know what God wants you to know and think and feel!

We know that God created the heavens and the earth, so God has intimate knowledge of what lies beyond our perception. And in God's Infinite Wisdom we have been briefed in dealing with the notion of alien life.

Romans 1:21-22 Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankefull, but became vaine in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened: Professing themselues to be wise, they became fooles:

In other words, we shouldn't even be speculating or imagining the existence of ET because in doing so we darken our hearts and become vain and foolish. Essentially then, contemplation of aliens can turn you into atheists.

We can only pray that it does. That money should be going to more useful endeavors like faith based education and restoring the morals of America.

We're not talking about Mexicans and Puerto Ricans and other illegal immigrants here, right? Because you don't need a telescope to see them, just visit New York or California or Texas, and they'll find you. Anyway, I don't think we can really count them as intelligent life.

I wonder whether Brother Ham has thought point number two. If space aliens do exist, how do we know that they are sinners? I mean, maybe they didn't eat of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge in their Garden of Eden. For example, if they don't have ears, how could the space serpent tempt space Eve to eat the fruit?

Of course, the whole idea of space aliens is ludicrous. Jesus told us in Mark 13:25 that, in the End Times, the stars will fall to Earth. That's positive proof that stars are tiny points of light, not million-mile-wide fusion furnaces, so there's no place for God to put the space aliens even if He wanted to create them. Which I doubt, since the Lord seems to have his hands full with just us.
