Mitt Romney is a cool dude: his hidden endorsement from Rolling Stone -
09-08-2012, 06:59 PM
Rolling Stone magazine decided to have a cover story about Mitt Romney and how he runs the companies he takes over. The idea is that he's going to run America the same way he runs, say, KB Toys - which is supposed to be a bad thing.
However, the plan backfired because the author has come to admire Mitt Romney, and stops just short of endorsing him:
The great criticism of Mitt Romney, from both sides of the aisle, has always been that he doesn't stand for anything. He's a flip-flopper, they say, a lightweight, a cardboard opportunist who'll say anything to get elected.
The critics couldn't be more wrong.
...Romney has a vision, and he's trying for something big: We've just been too slow to sort out what it is, just as we've been slow to grasp the roots of the radical economic changes that have swept the country in the last generation.
By selecting Ryan, Romney, the hard-charging, chameleonic champion of a disgraced-yet-defiant Wall Street, officially succeeded in moving the battle lines in the 2012 presidential race.
...This is typical Romney, who consistently adopts a public posture of having been above the fray, with no blood on his hands from any of the deals he personally engineered. "I never actually ran one of our investments," he says in Turnaround. "That was left to management."
In reality, though, Romney was unquestionably the decider at Bain. "I insisted on having almost dictatorial powers," he bragged years after the Ampad deal. Over the years, colleagues would anonymously whisper stories about Mitt the Boss to the press, describing him as cunning, manipulative and a little bit nuts, with "an ability to identify people's insecurities and exploit them for his own benefit."

What a man's man - a rock star of Wall Street, who has traded his guitar for a pad of pink slips, and his world tours for a ship full of factories headed for China.

He was cool enough to approve Olympic Pins made with his image on them!
I'll bet these are worth a dollar apiece now.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

I'm sick and tired of hearing all this talk about "firing" and "handing out pink slips", its right there in the Bible (KJV1611). Damn right we need to get rid of union organizers, communists, socialists, and slackers who do not want to do a fair days work for their pay.
Quote:
Cast out the scorner, and contention shall goe out; yea strife, and reproch shall cease.
- Proverbs 22:10
Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
- Proverbs 25:4-5

Is it wrong to outsource? Not according to the Bible (KJV1611).
Quote:
And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
- Acts 6:1-7

Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

Others agree:
All through the Republican convention, all we heard from media pundits was how Romney needed to humanize himself...Romney still came off as stiff and robotic. Even walking down the aisle of the convention center, shaking hands with his most loyal supporters, he never looked comfortable.
Now, though, with the video that Mother Jones just broke, from the Romney meeting with his most elite, millionaire megadonors and fundraisers, we have finally seen the real Mitt Romney. Sounding relaxed, confident, and even impassioned at times, Romney showed what his true values and beliefs were and revealed the private man behind the public candidate.
He just needed time to warm up, but now Mitt Rockstar is lighting up the stage! Just watch this video, I dare you to find a single moment of phoniness here:
(Well, okay, the part where he says he was just joking about being a victim of anti-white racism. But every racially-consious white person says "i was just joking" when talking about race.)
