I don't know how many more need to die - plus I don't care - just as long as every man, woman and child in school ends up with a magnum in their lunch box. (That's a gun, not a c*ndom - no hanky panky allowed on school property.)

Brother Dr. Toole, Sir, do you happen to know if a weapon in a lunchbox constitutes concealed carry? Simple common sense decrees that it should be okay, though perhaps restricted to the over-8s. Children (by which I mean boys, obviously) generally have a pretty good grasp of cause-and-effect by that age. This particular child seems to have been credited with knowing what he (or she?) was doing, but one can't rely on all children being so competent at 6.

As an aside, what about when the box is opened at lunchbreak? Does that then become open carry? This is something for our legislators need to consider. It's not as though they have more pressing matters, as the recent House speakership shenanigans has shown us (and indeed the entire world).

Having taught my own children, I would hesitate to arm all teachers, though. Especially female teachers. I suspect it might not end well.

Our word gun, which also traces back to the 14th century, is probably a shortening of Gunilda.

If these radical liberals don't stop pushing CRT and HRT on young children to indoctrinate and recruit them, this sort of thing is going to keep happening. When Representative Kevin McCarthy won the Speaker's post in the House he said Republicans are going to put a stop to woke being taught in schools. I'm wondering if woke played a role in the kid's anger. I will not be surprised if, during interrogation, the kid says something like, "I didn't want to hear that woke BS anymore."

If you look at the racial demographics of Newport News, you'll find that it's split pretty evenly between whites and coloreds. We know the victim in this case is a white woman. So who else wants to bet that the male perp is Negro? Was she shot during an attempted robbery or rape? Will the niglet be charged as an adult? It's all that Critical Race Theory telling him The Man would keep him down forever, all Negroes are virtuous and noble heroes oppressed by villainous Whitey. That Black Lives Matter and that if charity volunteer George Floyd hadn't been lynched by a crowd of Neo-Nazi Klansmen, he would probably have cured cancer by now. It turns out this was all about nothing important. The first-grade teacher who was shot by the kid is now off the critical condition designation. She will be fine. So why all the hand wringing about the shooting?

It's all about the left making something out of nothing. Children need to have weapons. The teacher needs to either drop all the woke liberal stuff or arm herself for protection.
