Nativity Scene Quiz for our Children: Choose the Biblically correct One(s)! -
12-19-2015, 04:42 AM
False Christian homes and Catholic cult venues abound with Nativity Scenes as Christ's Birthday draws near once more and possibly (quite likely) for the last time before the Glorious Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:17) and the following smiting of billions (Revelation 9:18). These nativity scenes are usually technically very intricate but fail to demonstrate the Biblical story of Jesus' Birth. I've prepared a collection of Nativity Scenes of which only ONE or SOME are the one(s) that are True™ Biblical Scene(s) that a) reflect(s) the well-known magnificent verses from Jesus' autobiography, the New Testament Gospels, and b) represent(s) what we know about the everyday life and architecture of Bethlehem during these wonderful days of our Redeemer's obstetric Miracle.
Let us revise the verses that apply in this case:
Luke 2:7
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 2:16
And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
Matthew 2:11
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Based on these data and our knowledge of the Creation Zoology, Flood Geology and the people's attire of these bygone days, it is time to look at the Scenes.
Exhibit A:
Exhibit B:
Exhibit C:
Exhibit D:
Exhibit E:
This is not only a fun game for children, it also teaches them that cuteness and Scriptural correctness do not always go hand in hand, it teaches them that wrong answers will be punished (Proverbs 13:24) but that this punishment is nothing compared to the punishment by Jesus (Matthew 25:30) if they fail to get a Biblical Education. Let us pray for this Christmas to be the last one on Earth and that next year we'll be watching the Tribulations show (Matthew 24:21) live from our Heavenly permanent homes.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

You have some excellent points there Brother White, in addition to Luke 2:7 there is Luke 2:12 which again underscores two key things here to look for - a manger and swaddling clothes. In all honesty I can't verify the intersection of these two requirements in any of the photos.
I'm also offended by those characters with what appear to be towels wrapped around their heads. I'm sure Baby Jesus would not want any mooselimbs hanging around.
Quote:
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
- Luke 2:12

I hope you are aware that satan issues orders to his minions each Christmas to come up with the most blasphemous Nativity Scenes possible. I have quite a collection of them in one of the extra rooms in my mansion.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Interesting puzzle, Dr. White. I woke my son Clay up to have a look at it. The first thing he asked was, "Daddy, what's a manger?"
I said, "It's a trough for animals to eat or drink out of."
Then he said, "Daddy, I think Dr. White's trying to trick us."
I said, "Why do you think that?"
He said, "None of them show a trough in a house."
I said, "What do you mean?"
Then he showed me the passage from Matthew.
Matthew 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
So I looked up my Strong's Concordance. The word translated "house" is the Greek word oikian, which occurs 41 times in the New Testament. For example, in Matthew 8:14:
Matthew 8:14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
He kept asking questions like, "If Mary and Joseph had a house to stay in, why were they looking for an inn?" and "Why did Mary and Joseph have an animal trough inside their house?" I told him not to ask silly questions and sent him back to bed.
I must apologize for my son. I'm sure there's some explanation, I just don't know what it is.

Mr. Swallows,
You are a wise man to ask for advice! Verily, we have the koine οἶκος (οἶκόν is actually the accusative form, oikón) and should know it when dealing with unbelievers. However, in the original language of the Bible as conceived by Jesus, American, the dictionary definition of the word house includes the following:
Quote:
4. a building for any purpose
|
Hence, there is no problem with the concept but, unfortunately, there is perhaps something wrong with you child. This looks like obnoxious demons? I suggest you administer your usual discipline but also show him this verse:
Proverbs 30:17
The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

Well, thank you for settling that, Dr. White. It all makes sense now. In this context the house was a stable or barn.
I am afraid there's something wrong with my son. He asks too many questions instead of just accepting what the Bible says.
I woke him up again to tell him your answer and then punished him accordingly for not knowing it.
I then got him to take a second look at your puzzle. This time he asked, "Why do all the pictures with the wise men have Joseph in them?"
I said, "What do you mean?"
And he said, "Matthew only says that Mary was there."
I laid another beating on him and sent him back to bed. You're probably right, there's something demonic behind this.
