It's abig problem. And biggest hurdle to vault is getting people to get out and VOTE!
We're not alone in wanting change in Freehold, believe me. I've been speaking at coffee houses, other churches, PTA meetings, even garage sales, and there's definitely an undercurrent of resentment among MANY in this town who've been burned firsthand by the Landover Baptist Church. They want the reign of terror to end.
The problem's twofold, though.
1.) People (and not just in Freehold, but nation-wide) have become so beaten-down and disillussioned that they barely even let themselves
dream of change, and think their vote is worthless because that's what the church has
fed them for generations.
And
2.) I've spoken with townspeople who are literally
afraid to step forward and share what they know, or even cast a vote for the LBC opposition. They've been told in no uncertain terms to
stay away from the polls on March 17th. If only we could make these people feel safe enough to vote for who they
really want, one of us just might have a chance.
