1. That is the mirage effect AFFECTING the boat. Not a mirage of an ACTUAL BOAT, the boat is real and can be stood on, but the atmosphere is warping the boat. That doesn't mean the boat isn't there…

A land-based mirage is no different. The pictures I used show two different phenomena. Satan bending light to deceive Jesus would be an almost identical phenomenon, in that however those places appeared, "over the horizon" as you seem to be claiming with no supporting evidence, they were actual real places you could walk on. Similarly for the case of, say, grain silos in an agricultural landscape: there they are shimmering as though on water but they're quite real and you could walk on one. My example demonstrates that Jesus was not deceived and really did see all lands from His vantage point. He needed to be high up to see over trees and smaller hills and stuff.

To appreciate that you'd need to read through The Bible to get God's perspective. For instance, although He recommends wine with food, there are several examples covered to suit individual taste – so long as it's not RED wine. Purple? Yellow? Green? all OK. It's great to see you taking an interest in your eternity and I'm happy to repost this chart from last year for you.

Although that derives from The Bible, our only reliable source about the wonderful world God created for us to live in, it's good advice (whether you want to discuss it or not) simply because it is in The Bible. Thank you for contributing to the forum.

The mountain was obviously on the Moon. Even standing at the top of Mt. Everest, haze eventually blocks your view of distant lands.

That's just because of the pollution, Brother. In Jesus' times, there was not as much pollution as there is today, so you could see more clearly at longer distances.


Speaking of the flat Earth, I saw the image below lately, and my head hurts: does that mean the Antipodes are literally on the opposite side of the Earth disc? How is that even possible? I think my female brain is too small to understand this.

The earth might be flat, hollow or squared, but that doesn't matter on how we see the World. And the best way to understand this World is by collecting evidence. The poster says it is Australia, and there is something like that in Australia... but it is simply the underside of the disc.

People who don't read the Bible are often tricked this way.
