Hi everyone.

I didn't realize that I should have introduced myself here before going elsewhere.

Of course, as you would've figured out by my name, I'm a Catholic.
My favorite Bible verse? I would say, personally, Matthew 16:18. Not only for the historical/theological reasons, but for the linguistic reasons.

Anything else you'd like to ask about me? I'll generally be in the "False religions and Cults" and "History" parts of the forum.

And Papist - I can't see nothing to be proud of cathoic church. I am/was and I'm not impressed with nothing they can offer. I think the Bob guy is right to question your motives. But then I'm new and don't know anything so I'll just say that, OK?

Well the initial goal is to preach the truth for as long as possible. I'm afraid of getting back-traced by the American government if I say something that they thing is "illegal." How many wanted to molest me? Zero.
How many people do I know that were molested by priests? Zero.
How many priests do I know that molested? Zero.

Did I feel left out of this? No, because there was no "club" to join. (Note: I used "club" because you seem to erroneously think that it is a type of nightclub that Catholic priests go to.)

I'm a medieval historian, and of course the most scandalous (in my opinion) of past popes' behaviors have been in the Middle Ages. If anything, my studies into these dark chapters have strengthened my faith.

If you'd like to know my reasoning, you may PM me. It's, unfortunately, a complicated and long story with many reasons. Placing it here may distract others from asking other questions.

I don't think so. Please look at my other post (in the "False Religions" section) about the CDF. Basically, Pope Benedict XVI did nothing because 1) he hadn't even heard of it until several years later; and 2) it was not under his jurisdiction at the time.

You can also look at the actual documents. I went in there with an open mind, and saw nothing that caught then-Cardinal Ratzinger red handed.

If you really do think and are moral you should drop the incense swingers sooner and not later.
