And you trust the word of Martin Luther King Jr.'s family over that of the white legal system that convicted Ray? The fact of the matter remains that when King was killed and sent to Hell, he was taking a smoke break on the motel balcony in between sessions of banging whores. He did not represent a direct and immediate threat to Ray at that exact moment. While the argument could be made that the communist black supremacist radical King was a clear and present danger to all white Americans in a similar vein as Adolf Hitler or Osama bin Laden and thus fair game, this wasn't how the jury saw it. If King and his entourage had accosted "white devil" Ray in an alley, stolen his wallet, and administered a beatdown (a highly likely prospect), he would have been well within his rights to stand his ground and waste those jigs. Though James Earl Ray was just trying to do the right thing and certainly it's virtually impossible for us not to sympathize with his heroic actions, we Christians HAVE to follow the Bible (Titus 3:1). This is non-negotiable. "Murder" as defined by the courts of the jurisdiction you happen to be in at the present moment is immoral and sinful.
