American Atheists, advocacy group for nonbeliever civil rights and state-church separation, announced today that it has chosen Des Moines, Iowa, as the host city for its April, 2011, National Convention.

When I first saw this, Brothers and Sisters, I was horrified. Especially seeing the reason for the site selection:

Dr. Ed Buckner, President of American Atheists, said that the decision was based on many factors, including value for members, accessibility, an interesting city, and the convention theme: "Atheists Caucus in the Heartland."

"The major factor, though," according to Buckner, "was the rapidly growing activism and presence of Atheist, Freethought, Secular, Skeptical, and Humanist groups throughout the region. We have been very impressed by this, and want to do all we can to help and to further energize these groups. In Iowa specifically, groups like Iowa Atheists and Freethinkers, Iowa Secularists, Iowa State University Atheist and Agnostic Society, Siouxland Atheists, University of Northern Iowa Freethinkers and Inquirers, University of Northern Iowa Freethinkers and Inquirers, and Skeptics in the Pub of Central Iowa are making tremendous progress in the never ending struggle for rationality and religious liberty."

Friends, this is a grand opportunity for witnessing! Landover Baptist Church can get rooms at the hotel and wander the halls, sharing Chick tracts and Bibles!

The convention will run from April 21-24, 2011 at the Embassy Suites on the River, 101 E. Locust Street, Des Moines. The hotel has agreed to a fantastic rate of $99 for a suite, with a full breakfast and evening snack.

Thank the Lord that we have plenty of time to organize, and gather people from other congregations (like mine) to descend upon Des Moines much like Christians once fell upon the atheist "utopia" of Liberal, Missouri!

I'm going to rent charter buses and bring my congregation to Des Moines. Might swing by Home Depot and rent a few other things, as well . . .

Maybe I can stop by Freehold and finally meet that charming Felicity Mr. and Mrs. Whitford, who seem like the ideal True Christian™ couple!

Sounds like a great time for me to have an international vacation. I can help you witness to the atheists and then have some time meeting the pastors at Freehold.

For example, I'm a freshman in highschool and I'm in band and honors classes with tons of christains! We et along just fine. Then there are the radicals like you gentlemen that won't let any thing happen that you don't agree with. Just let me know why you think it's so wrong for us to have groups and not you.

Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .


Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.

They are Christians who probably read the New Living Translation, Today's New International Version or some other namby pamby diluted version. We are GOD FEARING Baptists who read, love, and follow the 1611 KJV!

The difference between those groups and Landover Bapist is they will end up in HELL!!

Alvin, I realize that you hate God, and so you reject Him and pretend He doesn't exist so you can sin without remorse. But why would you hate your "friends" so much that you want them to join you in eternal Hellfire by turning them from Jesus?

We are willing to spend our hard-earned donations to get hotel rooms, and risk arrest by the anti-free-speech Obama Goon Squads that will be patrolling the hotel, so we can help even just one atheist be Saved© from an eternity of torture for denying God's existence! Yet WE are the "radicals"?
