Guests at the Thanksgiving Table -
11-25-2021, 09:01 PM
A few verses to consider this Thanksgiving:
M't:21:31: Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
M't:21:32: For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
Lu:7:39: Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
Lu:5:29: And Levi (a tax-collector) made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
Lu:5:30: But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
Lu:5:31: And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
Lu:5:32: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
I mention these as this is the kindness of Jesus, Who is the Light of the World, yet when I invite 8 whores and a team of investigators from the IRS to Thanksgiving, I do not seem to be accorded anything like that title.
Sometimes I despair of my family.

To be fair, Brother Bathfire, did you give them enough advance notice to make adequate preparations? Some whores are a little on the heavy side, (They call it being "thicc".), and your average folding chair may not accommodate them.

Let's not forget this verse.
Ezekiel 4:9 “Take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt; put them in a storage jar and use them to make bread for yourself. You are to eat it during the 390 days you lie on your side.
Accurately reflects what a normal Thanksgiving is like for me! (Thanksgiving of which being the day I consume my tasty wheat shake.)

Pastor Bathfire, even though the Bible talks of feasting with publicans and harlots, and, even though you are Pastor of Diversity and Tolerance, I think you can be practical in reading this scripture. You would have diversity if sinners who had repented sat at your table with those from LBC who had not sinned.
And for publicans, I think that would be handled by inviting those, at least one, who hires and supervises tax collectors. An example would be your Mayor.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Thanksgiving is a tense time for many families. As adults go on with their lives, they go in different directions. The host of the family Thanksgiving Dinner despairs over the disagreements that come with the annual event.
Allow me to pass along a bit of advice--hopefully it will help make a diverse family get along better: Don't invite the liberal members of the family. They simply are unpleasant and unAmerican. When the gathering is made up of Trump supporting Godly relatives, a good time will be had by all.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

At this sacred time of year, it is very important to remember whose table WE are guests at. Gods table.
If not for God we would not exist. If not for God, we'd not be able to breed and kill turkeys to eat. On a whim, God could kill us just to watch us die. Be thankful He has not killed you. Yet.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Re: Guests at the Thanksgiving Table -

Well, I'll certainly be boycotting my family's Thanksgiving festivities.
Sure, they voted for Trump and my brother thinks that Hillary Clinton has people murdered on a regular basis. (He very wisely only discusses this notion when seated at his kitchen table. And he knows enough to whisper.)
And yes, my sister-in-law throws around the N-word and knows darn well that the only reason the police didn't interfere after that drug addict damaged her car is that she (the drug addict) was Black and police are always letting Black people get away with stuff.
But, there are few stress points in our relationship. The biggest one lately is that my niece adopted a mixed race child and I'm afraid that my sister-in-law, (who dotes on her new grandchild), might start using the N-word less frequently.
Also, even though my brother watches Fox News regularly and is quick to point out, (very loudly, I might add), that "Christianity is under attack in this country", the only time that I ever hear him mention the name of Christ is when he has trouble with his keys in the door or instances like that. Unfortunately, his tone of voice in those moments doesn't sound reverent or beseeching.
The worst problem is that they are both Catholic and divorced (from their first partners) and there is the whole living-in-sin thing. (My sister-in-law is actually my sister-in-common-law).
But other than the Mary-worshipping and ongoing fornication and taking God's Name in vain and newfound tolerance for race-mixing, they are great Republicans. They are quick to criticize government handouts when they collect their Social Security checks and make use of their Medicare and they worry about Muslims beheading them.
I don't know, maybe I would enjoy Thanksgiving with them after all. . . What do you think?
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

They sound like cuckservatives to me. You're either all in or you're out (Matthew 12:30). Hail victory! I can see why you'd be uncomfortable having a mixed-race child there. Its existence isn't the result of a family member's sin, given that it's adopted (Deuteronomy 7:3), but still nobody wants to see that. There's an interesting line of thought about this from a good Christian man, Dog the Bounty Hunter:
Quote:
I don’t care if she’s a Mexican, a whore or whatever. It’s not because she’s black, it’s because we use the word “n*gger” sometimes here. I’m not gonna take a chance ever in life of losing everything I’ve worked for for 30 years because some f*cking n*gger heard us say "n*gger" and turned us in to the Enquirer magazine.
|
You simply need to tell your relatives that you have no issue with coloreds, only that having them around in an otherwise all-white space makes people uncomfortable using the N-word in casual conversation (as is our right as an American citizen - see First Amendment). Therefore, black people need to be permanently banned from all family gatherings. See, nothing racist about it.

You and your countrymen celebrate Thanksgiving on the wrong day. When the Lukes clan arrives at your doorstep on Nov. 24, you'll have a turkey in the oven and pumpkin pies cooling on the window sill, or there'll be Hell to pay I assure you. We're bringing Rutherford too, I pray he won't have to endure any of your Darwinist racism?

Dear Abby had a letter today that made me think of the things that can go wrong at the family Thanksgiving Dinner.
The letter was from a man in his 30's who believes he is both male and female. The woman he wants to marry also believes she is of both genders. Both of them like to tell their families about all this maybe stuff but the relatives don't like it.
This is the kind of person to keep out of your house when planning a big family get together. Why have someone present who wants to defy God's creation of male and female? It should not be necessary to condemn sinners and recite scriptures on our "days off."

Now that's just crazy Mayor Hold. So, there's a man dating a woman, but somehow they're gay and the targets of homophobic bigotry? Liberals are just so desperate to be victims they'll "identify" as anything to escape the dreadful reality that they're average.

I have a question about foreigners. Should they be welcomed at the Thanksgiving Table? Many of them will be from places that don't have thanksgivings on any date. Generally, that's hardly surprising given the conditions you find when alighting there but some of them are well managed, clean and tidy with actual sewerage systems. They think that's because they all work together for the common good, apart from the sewers they'd cite electricity, roads, high-speed rail, self-sufficiency in food, universal health care and such like. In those cases they've mostly rejected any ideas about God: “God?” they say. Then put on some of the most dreadful music you've ever heard and do traditional dancing. Yuk.

While buying a healthy niglet can be a sound investment, signing ownership papers is not something you want to do. Create a LLC offshore in say, the Caymans and insulate yourself with a few shell corporations. I'll put a few of the plantation hands on the boards of these shell companies, ideally ones that have died. It is a lot of work, but you can have the others in the coop train it. I've found, ones that start off right as God and boss-man fearing at a early age, knowing who are their betters, tend to be less trouble in later years.
Thanksgiving cheer to all decent Christians.!

Gathering the straight white family for a meal during the holidays predates the recent times. Today, God's rules are broken. In an earlier time, the races did not marry each other. God let us know He did not want these sinful marriages when he put different races on different continents.
God also made man male and female. This entire foolishness of homerism and bi-sexual are creations of sinful minds.
We need to preserve the original Thanksgiving family gathering that held true to God's rules. This is a gathering of white, straight and Republican family members.
If there is some reason for a gathering that includes weird family members, have it on April Fool's Day.

Preach, Brother Mayor!
Back in my pre-Saved© days, I had occasion to attend a Thanksgiving meal with a Black family that included as least one homosexual.
Granted, it was a nice meal and unlike the holidays growing up in my own family, no arguments sprang up leading to cursing and the throwing of objects and/or fists. (Honestly, it barely felt like Thanksgiving at these strangers' house.) But they were undoubtedly a lively bunch despite the lack of profanity, and the meal was followed by a spirited game of Charades.
At least at my brother's house the after-dinner activities included enumerating the many wrongs of the Liberal agenda, including Affirmative Action and social welfare programs.
Alas, that was before the advent of the mixed race grandchild. I fear that my brother may stop referring to a given Black person as, "one of the good ones".
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

Interesting. I'm trying to imagine what an Africanized Thanksgiving looks like. Tell me how accurate this is: - Turkey - KFC 16 piece bucket
- Stuffing - Flamin' Hot Cheetos
- Mashed potatoes - mashed yams
- Rolls - cornbread
- Green beans - collard greens
- Cranberry sauce - sizzurp
- Pumpkin pie - pumpkin pie, but stolen off a white family's window sill
- Macaroni and cheese - Kraft Mac and Cheese
- Salad - watermelon slices
- Wine - Colt 45 (Kool Aid for the chilluns)
