Dear Miss Maria: Thank you for your question! It shows the servants of the that you do have a sincere interest in learning of the glorious teachings that are contained within the blessed pages of the .
As for where to begin, why, start from the beginning, just so you will get a good grasp of the foundation of the Word of Almighty . I cannot think of a better place to begin than "in the beginning" of the blessed Book.
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
From there, you will simply continue along, reading passage after passage of frightfully fascinating material, although you may get a little confused with the "begats". But, just study them carefully and re-read them several times. Pretend that there will be a quiz later on, and you will do splendidly, my Dear!
As for the right way to pray, I suggest getting on your knees and speaking from your heart. Now, the most important prayer that you can make at this crucial time is the sinner's prayer. That is when you will confess your horrible sins (all of them!) to the ; where you will confess that He is the of s; where you will ask to forgive you for those wretched sins that have separated you from ; and, to cleanse you with most precious, shed (of which you are not deserving) so that He will save you from spending all of eternity in (of which you are MOST deserving.)
That's an excellent way to develop a relationship with , especially when you are "in the beginning" stages.
May the bless you richly, Dear, and do feel free to ask for more helpful advice from 's beloved servants here, at .

From the beginning, the whole thing, two books a day (should take about an hour on average, some books are really short) and you'll be done in little more than a month.
Take notes; I guarantee you'll have questions. Follow along with Brother V's Bible in a Year subforum for the True Christian™ take on it all.
What else are you going to do for the next while, anyway?

First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. We're right and you're wrong, according to Jesus and the Holy Word of God. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.
Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.
Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .
If you want to debate people, THIS is the place to go.
Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.
And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.
I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.
You should be in Church, serving the men who are praying the chink yellow poison away. God did not grant you a souless life to fritter it away in the lap of luxury.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

There are no coincidences, dear, only God-incidences (Psalm 115:3; 2 Chronicles 20:6; Amos 3:6). In three short months, just like He did with the plagues of Egypt, Jesus has taken away everything mankind worships. Jesus said, "you want to worship athletes, I will shut down the stadiums. You want to worship musicians, I will shut down Civic Centers. You want to worship actors, I will shut down theaters. You want to worship money, I will shut down the economy and collapse the stock market. You don't want to go to church and worship Me, I will make it where you can't go to church."
But Jesus offers a cure for the sickness He unleashed o'er the land. Repentance! If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
You need to take this time of isolation from the distractions of the world and have a personal revival where you focus on the ONLY thing in the world that really matters. Jesus. It's time for you and the entire nation to turn your hearts back to Jesus and pray like True Christians™ do. This, more than any quarantine, is what will save the world.
Apologize for your part in the torture and death of Christ the Redeemer 2000 years ago. Beg for forgiveness. Read your Bible.

A million thanks to everyone here!
I have began to read the Word, and though some of the terminology still confuse me, I'm sure with the Holy guidance of God and Jesus (and the wonderful people of Landover) I will understand everything!
I have prayed for forgiveness and confessed my sins unto God and have been bathed in the blood of Jesus Christ!
Psalms 9:1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

That is such a great start! Now, all you have to do is continue reading the Bible, and obeying every word of it for the remainder of your corporeal life.

Thanks for making an intro thread and including a Bible verse. The Psalms are always encouraging and some of them refer to earlier events. Psalm 90 for example was written by Moses. If that's where you'd started reading you might have wondered who Moses was.
That is covered in the first five books of The Bible, leading up to Joshua and Judges where God's Love Promises are fulfilled.
Welcome to the forum.
