The Mayor of Britt, IA, Really Needs Jesus -
06-05-2023, 03:32 PM
We Mayors in the Iowa Christian Mayors Association have long wrestled with the problem of Britt. It is a city of 2,000 about an hour north of Freehold. For decades, Britt was famous for being the "Hobo Capitol of the World." The "Hobo Convention" held every year brought crowds of worthless bums to Britt and reporters from everywhere interviewed them. Today we would call the welcoming "diversity." It was actually welcoming riff raff.
Some of the riff raff did not move but stayed in Britt and today we see the result. The Mayor, Ryan Arndorfer, tells everyone he is a homer as does a City Courcil member. The City hired a homer, Mark Anderson, to be the Police Chief. The Mayor wanted to date the Police Chief and sent him homer pictures. The Police Chief rebuffed him. So the Mayor cut the chief's pay. Now the Chief has filed a lawsuit against the Mayor.
There are churches in Britt. Why aren't its preachers delivering hell and damnation sermons about homerism? A delegation of us from Landover Baptist might be needed to go up to Britt and deliver that message ourselves.
Lawsuit: Britt city leaders sent police chief explicit images, videos (desmoinesregister.com)
Britt Hobo Days
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

I don't understand. Is the hobo “parade, entertainment, arts and crafts, food and lots of fun” now restricted to sodomy themes? I'm not sure whether hobos wash, water is heavy to carry and they don't have much space available. This doesn't seem like a parade Christians should attend.
Psalm 140:8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.

I see on the Britt website the town serves up free Mulligan Stew to visitors during Hobo Days. Mulligan Stew used to come from what ever food the hobos could get from knocking on doors. They would toss all they collected into a pot and share among hobos in the camp. Now, I hate to think what drugs or sexual stimulants the homers might dump into Mulligan Stew.

Celebrating hobos? That's absurd. Jesus hated wandering transients, except for Himself of course. Hobos were homos, back in the day they'd all huddle together for warmth and those freight cars were rocking and shaking, members were aroused and passions were inflamed. Then they started raping each other's asses.

I'm hardly an expert in demonology, and I'm protected by the power of prayer, so I've never met the Devil in person the way sinners have. But if you put oil on Satan's hand, don't you think it would immediately burn away?
If you want an answer, maybe you should ask a Muslim. They have plenty of oil and are intimately familiar with Satan.
