When I approved the invitation of this guy I thought he was from Belgium, Wisconsin! Are you saying that you actually brought a Frenchie FOREIGNER to preach in MY Church!

And YES, I AM 29. And YES, we need more Pastors to outreach in the sodomite nations and preach in American, not any savages belgiques, who try to escape their urban jungle and contaminate my houseboys with their guttural speech. My oh my what would my late father and YOUR good friend Lamentations Flint YOUR Pastor have thought of bringing a Frenchie to town. And did you know that that language you actually QUOTED is the same that they used to use in Indonesia and now half of my docile houseboys are suddenly scheming in that old colonial tongue? Just asking!

Of course, ample tithes can correct any damage caused by this debacle.

I liked Pastor Van Thalen's sermon for the most part. The story of remodeling his bathroom reminded me of Jesus' parables. They were stories as well used to make his point.

The only thing I was disappointed about was when he got to the toilet paper roll. I was sure he was going to tell of the spiritual experience one has when the toilet roll dispenser is a musical one. What a great ending to the story if would have been if the toilet roll dispenser had blasted out "Rock of Ages" and the pastor fell to his knees.

That said, he told a good story.

Thank you for the advice concerning electric chairs. Recently I was assisting at an outdoor event and these vibrating horrors were available free-of-charge. "Oh," someone said, "You're one of the volunteers aren't you?" I looked at him but he ignored me and carried on: "You can have a free go, you've just finished haven't you.." so I sat down, actually welcoming the rest and it was very comfortable. Until he turned it on!

There were oscillating bulbs everywhere. Head. Shoulder. Elbow. Wrist. Ankle. Back. The lower part of the spine. Need I continue? It was impossible to move, such was my surprise about half way through the experience, indeed the chair man had to tell me when it was finished because I thought it was still running! Such is lure of these seemingly innocent devices and I'm happy that no such thing will ever be installed in Landover, especially not for use by the elderly.
