Only a short 1,377 years ago today, on June 8, 632, our righteous God killed Muhammad. Between you and me, I think it's one of the best things He ever did, despite the time He taried in doing it.

A number of festive events are planned around Freehold to celebrate this special day. There's the Pin-The-Cross-On-Muhammad's-Face for the little ones (with a surprise substitution of Sonia Sotomayer's face for Muhammad's, but don't tell the kids). Dr. Bathfire's noontime lecture at the library entitled "Statistical proof of Iraqi civilian survival and safety under American bombardment pressure." And of course, the "Written by a Foreigner (any foreigner!) Bookburning" after dark.

Still, there's plenty of room for personal expressions of joy and thanksgiving. How will you celebrate Muhammad's Deathday?
