Re: Should Pupils be Required to Attend Public School - A Poll -

I have a complaint on this one.
Shouldn't there be a third answer there?
Something like this: No, because the Bible is the only thing our children need to learn about.

I'm all in favor of school vouchers, or better yet, a tax credit for all parents who want to opt out of the public school circus in favor of having a freedom of choice in how their kids are educated. This tax credit should be equal to the amount extorted from our paychecks each month to feed a failing and agenda-driven public school system. Secularists and liberalists don't want our kids to pray out loud or read their Bible in school in fear of having their children exposed to the "horrors of Christianity." Well guess what...I don't want my tax dollars being spent on a system that does just the opposite, indoctrinating students in a secular world-view that teaches the laughable theory of evolution -- a bad theory that has long since been disproven and discredited, even in respected atheistic scientific circles; and yet it's still being printed in our textbooks. I have much more to say on this subject. Check it out, if you care to at:

All this talk of "tolerance," "diversity," and "multiculturalism" masks the public schools' real agenda, which is to persecute straight, white, middle- to upper-class, Christian males who press 1 for English rather than 2 para español. Where is the tolerance for us? I want my grandson to be proud of who he is instead of constantly having to apologize.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

How would anyone be able to function in this multicultural society if they didn't know anything about other cultures? We are a multicultural society, honey. There's no denying that, and there's no place in the world for racism and social elitism.

There are certain "cultures" that decent Christians don't want their Christian children to be exposed to. The radical queers who recruit in public schools, the monkey-worshiping evolutionist liars who deny the book of Genesis, the mud races who encourage miscenegation, and the joos who insidiously seek ways of corrupting Christian youth and planting seeds of doubt about Christ's divinity, the goth scum perverts who cause all the school shootings....I could go on and on. No thank you, mister goth demon.
And did you just refer to the studly and masculine Brother Peters as "honey"?!!!
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Sure, if you want your child to work at McDonald's or Taco Bell, then the pubic school system has just the curriculum . . . Mandatory Mexican for everyone and math good enough to make change 90 percent of the time (as long as the cash register displays the change due).
But if you want your child to be a soldier for Christ or successful pastor, a back to basics Baptist school that practices corporal punishment and teaches hunter safety in Kindergarten is the only way to go. Besides, Jesus wants it that way!

Another thing that is bad about public schools is this No Child Left Behind nonsense. If a kid is stupid, he or she is stupid. Why are teachers required to waste their time educating a dummy when there are normal students to teach? The dumb ones should simply be taught how to push a broom or a mop.

1)Please excuse the use of "honey" as a title. I was raised in the South. That was not my choice.
2)Ezekiel.... You just named off most of the Cultures in the world. Children who are home schooled are most likely not to have many social skills and become outcasts.
3)I admit that public schools have their problems, but they are by no means sub-standard. Many who go to public schools are actually getting an education (if they have the desire to and actually pay attention) and go on to become the leaders of the world. Not to say that children who don't go to public schools don't have the opportunity for greatness, they do, it's just more likely that home schooled students lack the social skills that public and private schooled children have.

First, I just want to thank you for sharing your views with the Landover Baptist community. If you hadn't, I never would have found your insightful blog! You speak softly and correctly, the way a Christian should.
While I agree that home schoolers are unfairly discriminated against, and would support a voucher system, I wanted to mention that that's still a subpar solution that creates an unnecessary bureaucracy and does little to relieve the state's monopoly on schooling. Too many parents, even Christians, have been fooled into thinking that education is the domain of the government.
The socialization of education is one of the larger tragedies of America. Who thought that it would be a good idea to spend hard-working Americans' dollars on a feeble, lowest common denominator approximation of learning?
One of my greatest hopes of a McCain presidency is for the complete privatization of the Department of Education. I can't wait for the day when our children's precious minds lay gently cradled in our Lord's invisible hand.

Oh. Well this is because of the the liberal belief that every human being has worth and all that other crap. If liberals used the "evolutionist" model for education our school systems would be a lot better off.

Yeah, well I think I'd rather risk the "horrors of homeschooling" (tongue planted firmly in cheek) than the agendas being pushed by the public school system. See:

Mr. Brasil,
Thank you for your kind words. Please feel free to post on my blog anytime; I am deeply interested in the views and thoughts of my Christian brothers and sisters -- even if they differ from mine! I love the way you verbalized your thought: "I can't wait for the day when our children's precious minds lay gently cradled in our Lord's invisible hand." I have hope for our childrens' future when I come across brothers like you.
Also feel free to visit my other blog:

It's a little "edgier," because I tend to get a bit passionate about threats to our families and our Christian way of life.
God bless,
Bill E.

Sending a child -- especially a boy -- to a public school is no different from dumping him in the middle of Castro Street with manacles on his wrists and a tube of poppers in his shirt pocket. They are dens of sodomy and molestation from which even the most devoted pig play enthusiast would quail and head for the hills.
Don't believe me? The brilliant political analyst, theologian, gender theorist, and blogosphere wunderkind Vox Day has done some serious number crunching to unearth this fact: your child is ten times more likely to be sexually abused by his teacher than by a Catholic priest! Not twice, thrice, or even nine times as likely. Ten times! And that's only when you take into account the ratio of priests to teachers in this once-great nation. In pure volume of spilt seed, pedagogues out-molest the papists by a factor of six hundred and eighty three.
Shucks, why not just save yourself the trouble and get an abortion?

I'm happy that the public high school I attended had a club called the Christian Student Union. You can pray, read the Bible, and talk about the Lord all you want without being told to be quiet. Not to mention, the teacher/sponser of the club was also a Baptist pastor!
You're also allowed to pray in the hallway if you wanted (as long as you don't say things like, "if you don't believe in Jesus Christ you'll burn in Hell," but, in a liberal public school, it's not a bad start.)
Almost makes me wish I didn't graduate.

Praise Jesus! What was the name of this school? What country are you from? Because the joos and God-mockers want to crush Christ in America.

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned in this thread are qualifications. Who is more qualified to teach future True Christians™?
Some secularist with a fancy "degree" in "education" from some Godless "university".
Or caring True Christian™ parents, who were homeschooled themselves, by their own True Christian™ parents.
Or maybe the parents weren't educated at all. God doesn't require degrees from fancy schools, he only requires Faith, and that's really all good Christian children need. Faith and a KJV1611. And if Mom or Dad don't read so good, the whole family can learn to read the Bible together!
Glory!
